About AIEED
All INDIA ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR DESIGN is organized by Arch College of Design and Business for the admission of applicants in postgraduate and undergraduate programmes.
AIEED 2020 is conducted in online mode in two phases viz. Creative Aptitude Test (CAT) and General Aptitude Test (GAT) to thoroughly test the aesthetic sense, creativity & design sensitivity of the candidate aspiring for a career in the arena of design while evaluating his/her logical reasoning & problem solving aptitude.

AIEED 2020: Eligibility Criteria
AIEED 2020 eligibility criteria is different for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes:
Eligibility Criteria for UG programmes (Duration 4 years )

- Qualification in class 10+2 from CBSE/ICSE/IB/STATE BOARD/NIOS or any equivalent board as per UGC guidelines marks the eligibility for admissions.
- With a valid NATA score/AIEEE rank, aspirants can apply for 4 years UG programme in interior Design.Such candidates are exempted from appearing for AIEED exam and are allowed for the interview round directly.
- Candidates appearing in class 10+1 exam are also allowed to appear in AIEED. These aspirants are eligible for direct admission in the academic session commencing in 2020 by clearing the interview round.
- Aspirants need to clear the PTE exam (Academics) within one year of course commencement for continuation to UK university.
- Age Limit
As per Pearson-Edexcel norms, the aspirants with 16 years of age and above are eligible for the International Undergraduate level course.
Eligibility Criteria for PG programmes (2 years duration)
Aspirants who have graduate degree or are currently pursuing graduation in any discipline can apply for programmes offered at ARCH academy, provided they are pursuing their graduation degree from a recognised university.
AIEED 2020: Admission Process
Step 1: Fill AIEED 2020 Application Form
The application for AIEED 2020 can be made online as well as offline mode. To apply for the AIEED exam in online mode, the candidate needs to fill the AIEED application form on the official website of the conducting institute. In case of online application, the mode to pay the application fee is online using internet banking/ debit card/ credit card. To apply in offline mode, the candidates need to purchase the application form from Arch College of Design and Business and pay the application fee in Cash or using DD drawn in favour of “Arch Educational Society” to be payable at Jaipur.
Application Procedure for Foreign/NRI candidates
NRI or Foreign candidates need to submit the additional documents along with the application form of AIEED 2020:
- Attested copy of the passport (relevant pages).
- Equivalence certificate from the respective Embassy acknowledging the academic qualifications of the applicants.
- Attested copy of document certifying the NRI/Foreign national status.
Step 2: Download AIEED 2020 Admit Card
Applicants need to download the AIEED admit cards from the official website of the Arch College of Design and Business. Admit cards can be downloaded by clicking on the link of admit cards that is sent to all the applicants on their registered mobile number. Admit cards are made available for download one week before the date of online/offline exam (as selected by the applicant).
Step 3: Appear for AIEED Exam
AIEED takes place in two rounds, namely, Series 1 and Series 2. It should be noted that the Series 2 entrance test takes place only when there is an availability of seats for enrollments. Candidates have a choice to take the examination either in offline mode or in online mode. To take the exam in offline mode, the candidates need to carry black & blue pens, steel scale, pencil & eraser, cutter, scissors, glue stick, dry colour media such as colour pencils, crayons/oil pastels etc. For the online examination, there are three slots to choose from to take the exam.These slots are as follows:
Slot 1: 10 am to 1 pm
Slot 2: 2 pm to 5 pm
Slot 3: 6 pm to 9 pm
Step 4: Attempt the Interview & Portfolio Round
Qualified candidates are called for the next rounds of selection in the AIEED admission process i.e. the interview and portfolio round wherein the aspirants needs to perform a few tasks namely Video Making, Portfolios Showcasing and Interacting on Skype.
AIEED Pattern 2020: Marking Scheme & Exam Duration
The exam pattern of the AIEED exam is designed in such a way that the candidates have to attempt the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). In CAT, there are a total of 50 questions of 100 marks to be attempted in a duration of three hours, whereas, in GAT, there are a total of 60 questions of 100 marks to be attempted in a duration of two hours.
Candidates can opt to attempt the AIEED exam either as an CBT or as pen-paper based exam to answer 45-50 questions in a 3 hours time-span to secure maximum marks of 200.
Admissions process at Arch College of Design and Business is conducted in two phases,namely, Series 1 and Series 2. The Series 2 of AIEED 2020 takes place only when a number of seats are left vacant after the Series 1 round.
