AIIMS MBBS is a national-level entrance exam that is conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), New Delhi every year to offer admission to the eligible candidates into the MBBS programme. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) has replaced AIIMS MBBS entrance test and has become the only entrance test for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in the country and AIIMS Institutes that are situated at New Delhi, Bhopal, Nagpur, Rishikesh, Jodhpur, Patna, Guntur, Raipur and Bhubaneswar.
Recent Update
NEET 2020 has supplanted AIIMS & JIPMER for admissions into medical courses as notified by Dr Harsh Vardhan, Union Health Minister, India. NEET exam is now the only entrance exam for enrollments into MBBS and BDS and alike AIIMS MBBS, it will also be conducted once in a year, however, under the administration of National Testing Agency (NTA). NEET 2020 will be conducted on 26th July 2020.
Correction window for changes in the candidate's particular & options of Test Centre Cities was open till 31st May 2020. However, the issuance of the NEET 2020 Admit Cards has been delayed and dates for the same will be notified soon.

AIIMS 2020: Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Indian Citizenship or OCI or Foreign National candidates
- Qualifying Exam: 12th (10+2) Exam/ SSC Exam (CBSE)/Intermediate Science (I.SC.) or any other equivalent exam.
- Compulsory Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and English in 12th standard.
- Qualifying Marks: At 60% in aggregate for general category candidates and 50% in aggregate for SC/ ST/ OPH & Foreign National category candidates.
- Lower Age Bar: Minimum 17 years of age as on 31st December 2020.
- Upper Age Bar: No upper age bar is prescribed for MBBS 2020.
AIIMS MBBS 2020: Exam Pattern
- Exam Mode: Online (Computer-based) mode.
- Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes.
- No. & Types of Questions: 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
- Language Medium: English or Hindi.
- Marking: 1 mark for each right answer
- Negative Marking: Deduction of 1/3 mark for the wrong attempt.
AIIMS MBBS 2020 will have a total of 5 sections viz Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Aptitude & Logical thinking and General Knowledge. The first three sections will carry 60 + 60 +60, a total of 180 MCQs of 180 marks. The latter two i.e. Aptitude & Logical thinking and General Knowledge sections will have 10 + 10 MCQs of a total 20 marks, thereby making a question paper of 200 questions of 200 marks.
AIIMS MBBS 2020: Syllabus
Institute does not prescribe any syllabus for AIIMS MBBS entrance exam, however, the questions of the AIIMS MBBS entrance exam have their roots in 10+2 level syllabus. Various topics like Laws of Motions, Work, Energy, Kinematics & Power, Waves & Oscillation are covered under the Physics section. Similarly, Chemistry takes into account topics like Thermodynamics, Classification of Elements, etc. The Biology section covers Human Physiology, Diversity of Living Organism, Human Welfare and so on. In the General Knowledge section, candidate’s knowledge about Current Affairs, History, Renowned Awards & Prizes, etc is analysed.

AIIMS MBBS 2020: Application Form
Application Form for AIIMS MBBS has to be filled online. The application process for the year 2020 was started in the last week of November 2019. Application Process for AIIMS MBBS is based on PAAR facility dual stages viz. Basic Registration and Final Registration.The Basic registration asks for a candidate’s basic details & image uploading in a specified format. Post basic registration, the final registration calls for remaining details to be filled and payment of the Application Fee.

AIIMS 2020 Application Correction
After the completion of the Application process, the AIIMS MBBS Application Correction window is opened by the institutes to let candidates rectify the mistake(if any) done by them while filling the application form.
Candidates are allowed to make the following changes in an online mode.
- Correction in the details like father’s/ Mother’s Name, Nationality, Gender, Marital status and so on.
- Correction in the images initially uploaded by re-uploading the correct scanned images.
AIIMS 2020 Admit Card
AIIMS Admit Cards are released for all the eligible candidates in the online mode by the institute. Candidates have to download the same after logging in to the official website by entering the User ID & Password. Admit Card is a mandatory document to appear for the exam along with a valid Photo Id proof like Aadhar card/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Driving License.
AIIMS MBBS 2020 Cut Off
Cut-off refers to the minimum score that the candidates have to obtain to qualify the exam. AIIMS MBBS 2020 Cut Off will be published online by the AIIMS, New Delhi.
