On 20th May 2020, the Army Institute of Law (AIL) notified some important details about the AIL Law Entrance Test (LET) 2020 including the exam dates. According to this latest announcement, the AIL Law Entrance Test (LET) 2020 will be held on 24th July 24, 2020, from 2 pm to 4 pm in an offline/ pen-paper based mode for the law aspirants seeking admissions in o BA LLB and LLM programmes offered by AIL. The application window for the law entrance exam will open after 1st June 2020 and will continue to remain open till 22nd June 2020. However, the application form for AIL LET 2020 will still be accepted till 25th June 2020 but with a late fee penalty of INR 1000.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifying Exam: Qualification in standard 12th examination or equivalent examination from any recognised state or national board of education in India.

Qualifying Marks: Minimum 45% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.

Note: Qualification in the qualifying exam from open university does not mark the eligibility. Candidates appearing for standard 12th compartment papers are ineligible.

Admission Process

The process of admission into BA LLB course offered by AIL includes an array of steps that starts from filling an application form and continues till taking the entrance test, followed by results declaration and participation in further rounds of selection that takes place through the counselling process. Online Registration and Application

The first step further includes some steps that need to be executed by the candidate to successfully and properly apply for the entrance test.

Step 1: Online Registration 

* Go to the official website of the AIL → click on the ‘Online Registration’ link.

* Fill in the details like your name, DOB, email ID & password.

* Check your message and mailbox for AIL LET 2020 registration number & password sent on your email ID & mobile number.

Step 2: Payment of the Application Fee

* Pay the application fee of INR 3500 through State Bank Collect or via IndusInd bank.

* Check the fee status that is updated in your account and move on to the next step after the successful payment.

Step 3: Fill the Application Form

* Re-login using the registration ID and password.

* Enter the required Personal details, Academic details and Contact details.

Step 4: Upload Documents

* Upload the scanned copies of the required documents like class 12th certificate, army certificate, recent passport size coloured photograph and signature.

Step 5: Submit AIL LET 2020 Application Form

* Verify the details entered in Application Form. 

* Submit the application form in online mode.

* Ensure that you have received a confirmation message on the screen reading 'form successfully submitted'. 

* Download the submitted application form and take its printouts for future uses.

Admit Card

The admit card of AIL LET 2020 will be released online on 18 July 2020 on the official website of the Army Institute of Law (AIL) - http://ail.ac.in/index.php, from where the candidates will have to download the same using their login credentials - Registration ID and password.

Appear for AIL LET 2020

Applicants, seeking admission in a 5-year integrated law programme by AIL, will need to take the AIL LET 2020 in online mode on the examination date i.e. 24th July 2020 to attempt the total of 200 questions of one mark each in a duration of 120 minutes. Each four sections of the exam namely Mental Ability, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Law Aptitude and General English will carry 50 Multiple-Choice-Questions to be attempted in English language only. The test will be conducted in 32 cities in India with no negative marking and only positive marking of one mark for each correct answer. 

Results

AIL will declare the results of AIL LET 2020 online on 4th August 2020 on its official website- https://ail.ac.in/. Using their login credentials, the candidates would be able to access their AIL LET 2020 scorecard that will have the candidate’s qualifying status along with marks in each section and exam.  Based on the score of AIL LET 2020, merit list will be prepared & published by AIL listing out the names of candidates eligible for participation in the Counselling process. 

Admission Counselling

After the declaration of results and publication of AIL LET 2020 Merit-list, Army Institute of Law, Mohali will commence the counselling process tentatively from 31st August to 7th September 2020 only for the qualified candidates whose names are mentioned in the merit list to fare forward with the process of documents verification, admission confirmation by payment of admission fee, etc.

IGNOU 2020 TEE Answer Booklets & Re-evaluation Now Allowed to Applicants

Students participated in Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) June 2020 TEE, and December 2019 TEE exam will now be allowed to apply for the xerox copies of answer booklets. Indira Gandhi National Open University has decided to allow the students for the revaluation and re totalling of marks, they scored in these examinations.

The results of IGNOU June 2020 TEE were announced on October 1. With the upcoming facility of issuance of the photocopy of answer booklets, the students who were dissatisfied with their results can apply for the revaluation of marks scored in the term-end examinations and the photocopies of IGNOU TEE answer sheets. 

The application for the same will have to be made online on the official website of the university. Students simply need to go to the IGNOU website and click apply on the designated link. After which, a few details need to be filled, followed by the payment of the application fee and submission of the application form. 

It must be noted that the applications for revaluation and photocopies of IGNOU December 2019 TEE and IGNOU June 2020 TEE of exams comprising MCQ type questions are disallowed. 

According to the statement in the IGNOU revaluation window,  “Reevaluation and copy of Answerscripts is not available for the Following Exam for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type and conducted on OMR sheets.”

Students can apply for and get the photocopies of the answer booklets of IGNOU June TEE and IGNOU December TEE examinations if the answer copy has not been handled for Re-evaluation. Students can either first make an application for the copy of Answer Sheet, followed by an application for Re-evaluation or go for both simultaneously.

UP Govt to pay Education Expenses of NEET Topper

Education expenses of NEET topper Akansha Singh will be paid by Uttar Pradesh Government. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made an announcement about the disbursement of her graduation expenses. These expenses will include the expenditure of food and lodging during all the academic levels of her graduation.

Akansha Singh lives in Kushinagar district of UP and has achieved 100% score in NEET 2020 exam.  

Though Akansha was given second rank in the examination, she has been declared as top-ranked along with Soyeb Aftab who is native of Odisha state. On the direction of CM Yogi Adityanath, a letter is to be sent by the chief secretary of UP state, to the authorities concerned for the declaration of NEET 2020 ranks to declare Akansha Singh and Soyeb Aftab, both as the first rankers of NEET 2020 examination as they both have scored 720 marks out of maximum score of 720. 

Besides, personal wishes are sent from UP CM to the family members and parents of AKansha Singh, laurelled the top- scorer as an ideal for all the girls. CM Yogi Adityanath appreciated the hard -work she has made and the high perseverance she has maintained throughout her preparation. 

On the other side, Shoyeb Aftab has also created a history with a full score of 720/720 and All India Rank of 1. He is the first-ever candidate to score 100% in NEET examination. From Odisha state also, he is the first student to Top NEET. With this high score, he hopes to get admission in AIIMS New Delhi. 

NEET 2020 comprises a sum of 180 MCQ type questions for a maximum of 720 marks. Qualified candidates who have scored at least or more than NEET 2020 cut-off are considered eligible to participate in the counselling process of NEET 2020. This implies that the candidates with scores more than NTA NEET 2020 cut-off will be eligible for enrollment to state-quota seats India quota (AIQ) seats through NEET 2020 counselling. The NEET 2020 cutoff for students who belong to General Category is 147. The highest number of students who have qualified NEET 2020 are from Uttar Pradesh followed by Maharashtra.

Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association, KPPGCA has released the admit card for KMAT 2020 for the eligible candidates who applied for the examination by filling the application form and paying the prescribed application fee. The admit card has been released via online mode on the official website of KPPGCA on 27th October 2020. 

Successful candidates need to download their admit card from the official website i.e. kmatindia.com. using their login credentials.

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2020 is an entrance examination that will be conducted by KPPGCA (Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association) to offer enrollment to the qualified candidates in 189+ AICTE or University accredited Management Schools established in Bangalore and Karnataka. This year, the examination will be conducted on 29th October 2020 for admission to management institutes in the state. 

The exam will take place via online mode, keeping in mind all the precautionary measures amid COVID-19. All the participants must carry along their KMAT Admit Card otherwise the entry to the exam hall is prohibited. Check below the simple steps to download the KMAT 2020 Admit Card.

According to an official statement by Raghu Sharma, Rajasthan Health Minister, approval for the additional seats in MBBS in Rajasthan has been granted. 230 additional seats have been green signalled for the MBBS programmes at four medical schools in the state. 50 additional seats will be given to the medical schools in Udaipur and Ajmer. As far as Barmer Medical College is concerned, there will be an increment of 30 seats this year. 

In comparison to last year when there was a total increment of 550 seats, seats added this year are lower. However, if taken together, the total addition in MBBS seats in the last two years reaches 880 in Rajasthan, thereby making a sum of 2830 total MBBS seats in Rajasthan, today. 

The initiation of Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar has also received approval by the National Medical Science Commission. The Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar will be started in the session 2020-21. 

Sikar is a native district and approval of a medical college in Sikar was great news for Govind Singh Dotasara, Congress State President, who expressed extreme joy through a tweet over the approval.

"The much-awaited Sikar Medical College has received the approval of the National Medical Science Commission. It is a result of the strong will power of the Congress government of the state that the Sikar people have got their right, their medical college," a tweet by Mr Dotasara.

The news highlights the commencement of first round of NEET 2020 Counselling from Tomorrow

The first round of the NEET 2020 Counselling will start from 27th of October 2020 by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The first round of seat allotment under this process will commence from tomorrow. The counselling process will be conducted only for those candidates who have qualified the NEET 2020 exam. Unqualified aspirants will not be able to take part in the same. However, the registration is mandatory for the eligible candidates to participate in the counselling. 

Registration for the first round of seat allotment needs to be done on the official website of MCC - mcc.nic.in. and will remain open till 2nd November 2020 before 5 pm. It must be noted that registration must be done before the deadlines otherwise the participation in the seat allotment process is prohibited. 

NEET 2020 registration process seeks the names of the courses and colleges preferred by the candidates that means the candidates will have to fill in their choices about the college and the course during the registration process. However, the candidates will be allowed to fill in their preference within a specific course of time i.e. from 28th October 2020 to 2nd November 2020, after that the preferences will be frozen. 

Followed by the 2nd round of seat allotment, details about which will be notified very soon, the 1st round will be conducted on 3rd and 4th November and the results of the same will be declared on 5th November 2020. Here is the process to register for the counselling process of NEET 2020:

Step 1: Go to the official website of MCC i.e. mcc.nic.in.

Step 2: Find and click on the ‘UG Medical Counselling’ link available on the homepage.

Step 3: Click on ‘New Registration’.

Step 4: Save your new login ID and password that will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Click on ‘Candidate Login’ and enter your new login credentials.

Step 6: Enter all the details asked.

Step 7: You will get a registration slip after filling all the details. 

Step 8: Make a payment of the registration fee. 

The registration fee needs to be paid before the deadline and the due date for the payment of the registration fee for NEET 2020 Counselling's first round is 2nd November 2020.
