AIPVT 2020: Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Indian Nationality.
Note: Candidates from the State of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) are ineligible for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. programme under 15% All India quota. Such candidates who appeared in NEET (UG) 2020 will need to submit an Affidavit to appear for AIPVT 2020.
Age: At least 17 years old on or before December 31, 2020. 25 years of age is the upper age limit, however, relaxation of 5 years is given to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) or Other Backward Class (OBC).
Qualification: Qualification in the qualifying examination with the Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English as mandatory subjects.
Qualifying Score: Minimum 50% score in aggregate in qualifying exam. 47.5% is the minimum score for the candidates belonging to SC/ST and other special categories.
NEET UG: NEET UG 2020 is a must-take examination as based on the merit in the NEET 2020 exam, candidates are called for counselling.
AIPVT 2020: Exam Pattern
- Questions Type: 180 objective type questions.
- Medium of Language: English and Hindi.
- Marking Scheme: Each correct answer fetches 4 marks.
- Negative Marking: One mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Duration: 3 hours.
AIPVT 2020 Counselling for Online Allocation of Seats
To participate in the online counselling of AIPVT 202, the interested candidates need to register themselves on the official website by creating a login ID. The counselling is conducted by VCI to allot the seats to the candidate based on their rank in NEET UG 2020, selection of choice and availability of seat, however, fulfillment of eligibility criteria w.r.t age, nationality, primary qualification is must to proceed on. The seats are allotted to the candidates under 15% All India Quota in the recognized government as well as Private Veterinary Colleges in India excluding the state of Jammu & Kashmir State.
Document verification is a part of the counselling process, however, it is conducted at the time of admission in the allotted College. Candidates must note that the fee, refundable fee, academic year are subject to change as per the norms & regulation of various colleges and they also differ from college to college. Seat allocation is a one-time process and re-allocation of seats does not take place.
AIPVT 2020 Counselling: Mop Up Round
A Mop up Round of counselling is conducted following the three rounds of counselling to fill the vacant seats. Candidates are allotted a provisional seat based on the eligibility criteria, selection of choices during registration for counseling, seats availability and rank in NEET UG 2020. Final allotment is confirmed by the candidate with the payment of Security money within the stipulated time. Security money is refundable to the same account on the joining of allotted seats in the allotted College by the candidate. Failure to join the allotted college leads to forfeiture of the security money.
