Annamalai University, accredited with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC in 2014, is India’s one of the largest public residential universities with 10 Faculties and 49 departments of study. The university organizes AU AIMEE (All India Medical Entrance Exam) Pharmacy entrance test to offer candidates admissions into the B.Pharma, M.Pharm and D.Pharma courses. AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2020 is a National-level Entrance Examination held every year. Interested candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria need to submit their application form through online mode on the official website. The entrance exam will tentatively be conducted in the first week of June (tentatively).

AU AIMEE LATEST UPDATES

Interested candidates can apply for AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2020 Application Forms from May 28, 2020. A candidate must have passed 10+2 examination and must be an Indian National for eligibility. The mode of this examination is offline to attempt 240 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Total duration of the exam is 2 hours and the exam will tentatively be held on June 4, 2020. Candidates, who have applied can download the AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2020 Admit Card from the official website. The awaited result will be declared on July 6, 2020.

AU AIMEE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Eligibility Criteria for candidates applying for different pharmaceutical courses in Annamalai University is mentioned below. Candidates are advised to meet the criteria before applying for the exam. If a candidate fails to meet the required eligibility criteria, he/she will fall liable for rejection of the application form filled. The complete AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2020 eligibility criteria for all the courses offered are as follows:

 

  • B.Pharma

 

  • A candidate must be of Indian nationality.
  • A candidate’s age must be of 17 years on or before 31st Dec 2020.
  • A candidate must have passed in all the subjects of HSC (10+2).
  • Required subjects to fulfill the criteria

Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology

OR

Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics with any subject.

  • Minimum eligible marks in 10+2 are as follows
  • For OC / BC / BCM / MBC / DNC Candidates – A minimum of 35% of marks in individual subjects and not less than 40% aggregate marks overall.
  • For SC / SCA / ST Candidates – A minimum of 35% of marks in individual subjects and not less than 35% aggregate marks overall.
  • A minimum of 35% marks in English.
  • Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu:
  • Those who have passed Class VIII, IX, X, XI and XII in Tamil Nadu can apply without needing to provide the "Nativity Certificate".
  • Those who have passed any of Class VIII, IX, X, XI and XII or their equivalent exam from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply but they will need to provide a copy of the "Nativity Certificate".
  • All candidates who are children of All India Service Tamil Nadu Cadre Officers are eligible.
  • Those whose parents are Central Government employees can apply, regardless of their nativity, given that their parents or guardians (if neither parent is alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past 5 years at the time of application submission.
  • Candidates belonging to other states who have studied Class VIII, IX, X, XI and XII in Tamil Nadu can also apply without enclosing the "Nativity Certificate".
  • Candidates belonging to other states and who have not studied Class VIII, IX, X, XI and XII from Tamil Nadu:
  • Those candidates can apply regardless of their category, and will be considered under open-competition.
  • Also, they will be considered only after all Tamil Nadu candidates have been exhausted.

 

 

  • B.Pharm (Lateral Entry)

 

  • A candidate must be of Indian nationality.
  • Overseas citizens of India are eligible to apply if registered under section 7A of the Citizenship Act 1955 (Central Act 57 of 1955).
  • A candidate’s age must be of 17 years on or before 31st Dec 2020.
  • A candidate must hold a Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) from Annamalai University or an equivalent university.
  • A candidate must have scored an overall aggregate of not less than 50% marks in the 1st and 2nd year exams of D. Pharm.

 

 

  • D.Pharm

 

  • A candidate must be of Indian nationality.
  • A candidate’s age must be of 17 years on or before 31st Dec 2020.
  • Overseas citizens of India are eligible to apply if registered under section 7A of the Citizenship Act 1955 (Central Act 57 of 1955).
  • A candidate must have passed the HSC exam or equivalent with the following subjects: Physics and Chemistry, along with Biology (or) Botany and Zoology (or) Mathematics.
  • Candidates with B.Sc. Degree in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology / Mathematics as subjects are also eligible.

 

 

  • M.Pharm

 

  • A candidate must have a B. Pharm degree from Annamalai University or an equivalent university with not less than 50% marks.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/SCA/ST categories need only a pass in the B. Pharm course.
  • A candidate’s age must be of 17 years on or before 31st Dec 2020.
  • Candidates must have passed the HSC exam with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with either Mathematics or Biology or Botany and Zoology.
  • Those with qualification in D. Pharm from an institution that has been approved by the Pharmacy Council of India are also eligible.
  • Candidates belonging to states other than Tamil Nadu are also eligible to apply. However, regardless of the category, they will be considered under open competition, after exhausting all Tamil Nadu candidates.

AU AIMEE APPLICATION FORM

AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2020 Application Form will be made available online on May 2nd-30th May, 2020 on the official website of the university. For latest updates, candidates are advised to keep a check on the official website. Steps to fill the application form are as follows:

  1. Go to the official website of the AU.
  2. Register with a valid email ID and a strong password.
  3. Both online or offline payment methods are available.
  4. Fill all the personal details.
  5. Click on "view" button to check the final form and edit before confirming.
  6. Select "print" option to take a print out of the Application Form for future reference.
  7. Upon completion of the application form, the candidates will have to send the form along with the required documents and certificates via Speed Post/ Registered Post. In case of offline payment mode, candidates are required to include the DD or Bank Challan in the envelope (30cm×24cm) and post to the address given below:

AU AIMEE FORM FEE

The registration for AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2020 Application is Rs 300/-. 

Mode of payment: 

  • Online: Can be paid via Credit card/Debit card/Net Banking etc.
  • Offline: Can be paid using Demand Draft or Bank Challan.

The Demand Draft must be drawn in the favour of “The Registrar, Annamalai University” and must be payable at Chennai.

AU AIMEE ADMIT CARD

AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2020 Admit Card/Hall Ticket will be available for download on the official website of the university. Eligible candidates who have completed the application process with the fee payment will be able to download by the last week of May 2020. Steps to download the admit card are mentioned below:

AU AIMEE RESULTS

AU AIMEE COUNSELLING

Qualified candidates with a score of at least cut-off marks will be invited to the counselling process of AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2020. The counselling process will be held in online mode after the announcement of merit list in July 2020 (tentatively). Candidates need to pay the counselling fee of Rs. 2000 (Rs. 500 for SC/SCA/ ST candidates), either by cash or DD that is drawn in favor of “The Registrar, Annamalai University” payable at Chennai during counselling.

  1. Candidates have the option to select the choice of course and the college they want to attend. 
  2. Candidates with differently abled conditions will be prioritized. 
  3. Candidates will be called for the process of Counselling based on their merit.
  4. Candidates will have to report in-person at the Administrative Office of Annamalai University.
  5. Candidates must report at the specified venue on the allotted date with their requisite documents.
  6. Candidates who are unable to report for some reason, he/she must attend the counselling process with his/her parents.
  7. Candidates who paid the counselling fee and were not given any seat in the counselling will be put on the waiting list.

IGNOU 2020 TEE Answer Booklets & Re-evaluation Now Allowed to Applicants

Students participated in Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) June 2020 TEE, and December 2019 TEE exam will now be allowed to apply for the xerox copies of answer booklets. Indira Gandhi National Open University has decided to allow the students for the revaluation and re totalling of marks, they scored in these examinations.

The results of IGNOU June 2020 TEE were announced on October 1. With the upcoming facility of issuance of the photocopy of answer booklets, the students who were dissatisfied with their results can apply for the revaluation of marks scored in the term-end examinations and the photocopies of IGNOU TEE answer sheets. 

The application for the same will have to be made online on the official website of the university. Students simply need to go to the IGNOU website and click apply on the designated link. After which, a few details need to be filled, followed by the payment of the application fee and submission of the application form. 

It must be noted that the applications for revaluation and photocopies of IGNOU December 2019 TEE and IGNOU June 2020 TEE of exams comprising MCQ type questions are disallowed. 

According to the statement in the IGNOU revaluation window,  “Reevaluation and copy of Answerscripts is not available for the Following Exam for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type and conducted on OMR sheets.”

Students can apply for and get the photocopies of the answer booklets of IGNOU June TEE and IGNOU December TEE examinations if the answer copy has not been handled for Re-evaluation. Students can either first make an application for the copy of Answer Sheet, followed by an application for Re-evaluation or go for both simultaneously.

UP Govt to pay Education Expenses of NEET Topper

Education expenses of NEET topper Akansha Singh will be paid by Uttar Pradesh Government. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made an announcement about the disbursement of her graduation expenses. These expenses will include the expenditure of food and lodging during all the academic levels of her graduation.

Akansha Singh lives in Kushinagar district of UP and has achieved 100% score in NEET 2020 exam.  

Though Akansha was given second rank in the examination, she has been declared as top-ranked along with Soyeb Aftab who is native of Odisha state. On the direction of CM Yogi Adityanath, a letter is to be sent by the chief secretary of UP state, to the authorities concerned for the declaration of NEET 2020 ranks to declare Akansha Singh and Soyeb Aftab, both as the first rankers of NEET 2020 examination as they both have scored 720 marks out of maximum score of 720. 

Besides, personal wishes are sent from UP CM to the family members and parents of AKansha Singh, laurelled the top- scorer as an ideal for all the girls. CM Yogi Adityanath appreciated the hard -work she has made and the high perseverance she has maintained throughout her preparation. 

On the other side, Shoyeb Aftab has also created a history with a full score of 720/720 and All India Rank of 1. He is the first-ever candidate to score 100% in NEET examination. From Odisha state also, he is the first student to Top NEET. With this high score, he hopes to get admission in AIIMS New Delhi. 

NEET 2020 comprises a sum of 180 MCQ type questions for a maximum of 720 marks. Qualified candidates who have scored at least or more than NEET 2020 cut-off are considered eligible to participate in the counselling process of NEET 2020. This implies that the candidates with scores more than NTA NEET 2020 cut-off will be eligible for enrollment to state-quota seats India quota (AIQ) seats through NEET 2020 counselling. The NEET 2020 cutoff for students who belong to General Category is 147. The highest number of students who have qualified NEET 2020 are from Uttar Pradesh followed by Maharashtra.

Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association, KPPGCA has released the admit card for KMAT 2020 for the eligible candidates who applied for the examination by filling the application form and paying the prescribed application fee. The admit card has been released via online mode on the official website of KPPGCA on 27th October 2020. 

Successful candidates need to download their admit card from the official website i.e. kmatindia.com. using their login credentials.

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2020 is an entrance examination that will be conducted by KPPGCA (Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association) to offer enrollment to the qualified candidates in 189+ AICTE or University accredited Management Schools established in Bangalore and Karnataka. This year, the examination will be conducted on 29th October 2020 for admission to management institutes in the state.

According to an official statement by Raghu Sharma, Rajasthan Health Minister, approval for the additional seats in MBBS in Rajasthan has been granted. 230 additional seats have been green signalled for the MBBS programmes at four medical schools in the state. 50 additional seats will be given to the medical schools in Udaipur and Ajmer. As far as Barmer Medical College is concerned, there will be an increment of 30 seats this year. 

In comparison to last year when there was a total increment of 550 seats, seats added this year are lower. However, if taken together, the total addition in MBBS seats in the last two years reaches 880 in Rajasthan, thereby making a sum of 2830 total MBBS seats in Rajasthan, today. 

The initiation of Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar has also received approval by the National Medical Science Commission. The Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar will be started in the session 2020-21. 

Sikar is a native district and approval of a medical college in Sikar was great news for Govind Singh Dotasara, Congress State President, who expressed extreme joy through a tweet over the approval.

"The much-awaited Sikar Medical College has received the approval of the National Medical Science Commission. It is a result of the strong will power of the Congress government of the state that the Sikar people have got their right, their medical college," a tweet by Mr Dotasara.

The news highlights the commencement of first round of NEET 2020 Counselling from Tomorrow

The first round of the NEET 2020 Counselling will start from 27th of October 2020 by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The first round of seat allotment under this process will commence from tomorrow. The counselling process will be conducted only for those candidates who have qualified the NEET 2020 exam. Unqualified aspirants will not be able to take part in the same. However, the registration is mandatory for the eligible candidates to participate in the counselling. 

Registration for the first round of seat allotment needs to be done on the official website of MCC - mcc.nic.in. and will remain open till 2nd November 2020 before 5 pm. It must be noted that registration must be done before the deadlines otherwise the participation in the seat allotment process is prohibited. 

NEET 2020 registration process seeks the names of the courses and colleges preferred by the candidates that means the candidates will have to fill in their choices about the college and the course during the registration process. However, the candidates will be allowed to fill in their preference within a specific course of time i.e. from 28th October 2020 to 2nd November 2020, after that the preferences will be frozen. 

Followed by the 2nd round of seat allotment, details about which will be notified very soon, the 1st round will be conducted on 3rd and 4th November and the results of the same will be declared on 5th November 2020. Here is the process to register for the counselling process of NEET 2020:

NEET counselling 2020: Online registration process

Step 1: Go to the official website of MCC i.e. mcc.nic.in.

Step 2: Find and click on the ‘UG Medical Counselling’ link available on the homepage.

Step 3: Click on ‘New Registration’.

Step 4: Save your new login ID and password that will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Click on ‘Candidate Login’ and enter your new login credentials.

Step 6: Enter all the details asked.

Step 7: You will get a registration slip after filling all the details. 

Step 8: Make a payment of the registration fee. 

The registration fee needs to be paid before the deadline and the due date for the payment of the registration fee for NEET 2020 Counselling's first round is 2nd November 2020.
