Common Entrance Exam for Design is a joint entrance exam for post-graduation in the technological designing course. Abbreviated as CEED, this national level exam takes place once in a year jointly at all IITs and Indian Institute of Science to select the eligible aspirants for the admissions into Master of Design (M.Des) and PhD (Design).

CEED is conducted by IIT Bombay throughout the country to elect the fashion enthusiasts appearing for this exam. In the year 2021, CEED will take place in the fourth week of January. The application forms for the same will be released in October, 2020 while the admit cards will be issued in December, 2020. Aspiring candidates can fill the application form by entering the required valid details and download the admit by entering the login credentials. The result OF CEED 2021 will be released in March 2020, after the publication of the draft answer key for Part A & final answer key for Part A. The qualified candidates can download the CEED scorecard from the official website, however, unsuccessful candidates will be able to only check their scores on the result page as the scorecard will not be made accessible to them.

The validity of the CEED 2021 online scorecard will be of one year from the date of its declaration and the hard copy of the same is unattainable i.e. it can only be accessed online and downloaded. The scorecard of CEED bears the applicant's signature & photograph submitted at the time of registration.

Mode of examination and crucial Websites

Though the mode of application is merely online, the mode of CEED 2021 examination can be online as well as offline. Precise details of the examination were made available on the official website - ceed.iitb.ac.in, besides, for any kind of queries another, another website -   ugchr@iitb.ac.in is also available. 

Like other national-level-examinations, this entrance exam also has some eligibility criteria which the candidate needs to comply with before filling the application form. Let us have a look at the eligibility standard for CEED 2021.

CEED 2021: Eligibility Criteria

However, Age-limit and Number of attempts are no bar to appear for CEED, the eligibility standards for the exam revolves around Academic Qualification which is prescribed as follows for CEED 2021:

  • A bachelor’s degree/ diploma/ PG degree of 4 years duration or 3+2 years after 12th.
  • Note: Candidates appearing for  Final Examination of the above -mentioned courses by July 2020 will also be considered as eligible.
  • Qualification in GD Arts Diploma (10+5 Level) by July 2020.

Application Form for CEED 2021

Application forms for CEED will be downloadable from the official website- ceediitb.ac.in and will have to be submitted online. The forms pry into academic records along with personal details and the scanned copies of some important documents which need to be submitted online. Documents which should be uploaded in the application form are as follows:

  • Applicant’s recent & coloured passport size photo in .jpg file format.
  • Applicant’s signature in .jpg file format.
  • Academic records, degree and diploma certificate.
  • Category certificates like Sc / St / OBC NCL in .pdf file format
  • Valid Medical Certificate for PWD in .pdf file format
  • Request letter for compensatory time (during the test) for PWD in .pdf file format
  • Gazette notification, marriage certificate or page of passport in .pdf file format (in case of name change).

Note: Hard copies of the documents are unacceptable.

Steps to fill the CEED 2021 Application Form

  • Step 1 - Registration on the official website of CEED
  • Step 2 - Enter all the personal details and academic qualification details 
  • Step 3 - Upload the requisite documents, latest passport size photograph, etc
  • Step 4 - Pay the Application fee
  • Step 5 - Verify the application form and submit it.
  • Step 6 - Download & take print out of the CEED Application form and keep it carefully for future reference

Fee and Date of Registration

Online registration for CEED 2021 will start in the month of October, 2020 with the filling of an application and payment of the application fee i.e. INR 1300 for women/SC/ ST/ PWD Candidates and INR  2600 for all other candidates. 

Last week of November, 2020 will be the deadline to submit the CEED 2021 application form. However, application forms with late fee of INR 500 in addition to application fee will still be permitted till the third week of November, 2020. Fee payment will be acceptable only via online mode i.e. through debit card, credit card or net banking. 

CEED 2021 for Admission in Colleges

Taking admission in reputed designing colleges that seek CEED score for admission comprises series of steps which begins with Registration on the Official Website of CEED by entering an authentic e-mail ID & mobile number, fares forward with the filling of the application form, downloading of admit card, turning up for the test, scouting out the result and then finally taking admission.

However, it should be noted that a CEED score does not vouch for admission as the respective  participating institutes may ask for the completion of their own desideratum like interviews, tests etc. or they may release separate CEED cut off which relies on factors like the total number of applicants, seat availability for the offered programme, previous year’s cutoff, etc.

CEED 2021: Exam Cities 

CEED 2021 examination will be conducted at various centres in different cities throughout India. The list comprises Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Ernakulam, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur and Visakhapatnam. 

An applicant will be allowed to choose 3 cities, as per his/her convenience, in the application form for CEED 2021. 

CEED 2021: Admit Card

The admit card of CEED 2021 will be issued by IIT Bombay in the last week of December in online mode to the eligible candidates who will fill the application form and pay the application fee before the deadline. No hard copy or soft copy of CEED admit card 2021 will be posted or mailed individually to the applicants. Students will need to download the admit card from the official website by entering the details asked. CEED 2021 admit card is a mandatory document to carry along with the valid photo while appearing for the exam. No candidates will be permitted to enter the exam hall without the admit card. CEED 2021 admit cards will comprise the details about the candidate as well as the exam such as candidate’s name, roll number, exam centres, exam guidelines etc.

Exam pattern CEED 2021 

The CEED exam is inclusive of two parts — Part A and Part B and a total duration of three hours are given to the applicants to answer both the parts, however, the answers of Part-B is evaluated only if the candidate qualifies the Part A of the exam. 

  • Part A of CEED is an online screening test that comprises multiple select questions (MSQ), numerical answer type questions (NAT) & multiple-choice questions to take the measure of applicant’s visual & spatial competence, environmental & social knowledge, analytical & rational acumen, language and design subtlety.
  • Part B of CEED is an offline exam that comprises 8 Questions to gauge an applicant's drawing, designing and writing creativity.

Changes in the exam pattern and marking scheme

There were some changes made in the examination pattern of CEED 2020 w.r.t number of questions as well as marking scheme. These changes will continue to exist in the exam pattern of CEED 2021. 

First of all, there was a reduction in the total number of questions from 45 to 41 and secondly, there was an addition of new sections such as creativity, visual sensitivity, form sensitivity, problem identification, etc in Part B of the exam.

Besides, a negative marking of 0.2 marks for each wrong answer in MCQ types was introduced and the marks for correct answers were increased to 03 from 02.

The conclusive score of CEED 2021 will be prepared by giving 25% and 75% weightage to Part A and Part B, respectively.

CEED 2021: Result

The result of CEED 2021 will be announced in online mode in the first week of March on the official website. To access the result of CEED 2021 and download the scorecard, the candidates will have to fill the login credentials in the login window. The validity of the CEED 2021 scorecard will remain active for one year from the date of the result declaration. Is it compulsory to qualify both the parts of CEED?

Yes, it is compulsory to qualify part A as well as Part B of CEED as the former acts like a qualifying test to evaluate the answers of the latter.

How is CEED different from the UCEED exam?

CEED is a joint entrance exam conducted by IIT Bombay to shortlist contenders for admission in the field of MDes at colleges/institutes that accept CEED scores whereas UCEED takes place to facilitate admission for students in BDes courses offered at colleges/institutes that accept UCEED scores.

What is the Application Fee for CEED 2021?

The application fee for CEED 2021 will have to be paid via online mode i.e. by using a credit card, debit card or net banking. The application fees for different categories were as follows:

IGNOU 2020 TEE Answer Booklets & Re-evaluation Now Allowed to Applicants

Students participated in Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) June 2020 TEE, and December 2019 TEE exam will now be allowed to apply for the xerox copies of answer booklets. Indira Gandhi National Open University has decided to allow the students for the revaluation and re totalling of marks, they scored in these examinations.

The results of IGNOU June 2020 TEE were announced on October 1. With the upcoming facility of issuance of the photocopy of answer booklets, the students who were dissatisfied with their results can apply for the revaluation of marks scored in the term-end examinations and the photocopies of IGNOU TEE answer sheets. 

The application for the same will have to be made online on the official website of the university. Students simply need to go to the IGNOU website and click apply on the designated link. After which, a few details need to be filled, followed by the payment of the application fee and submission of the application form. 

It must be noted that the applications for revaluation and photocopies of IGNOU December 2019 TEE and IGNOU June 2020 TEE of exams comprising MCQ type questions are disallowed. 

According to the statement in the IGNOU revaluation window,  “Reevaluation and copy of Answerscripts is not available for the Following Exam for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type and conducted on OMR sheets.”

Students can apply for and get the photocopies of the answer booklets of IGNOU June TEE and IGNOU December TEE examinations if the answer copy has not been handled for Re-evaluation. Students can either first make an application for the copy of Answer Sheet, followed by an application for Re-evaluation or go for both simultaneously.

Education expenses of NEET topper Akansha Singh will be paid by Uttar Pradesh Government. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made an announcement about the disbursement of her graduation expenses. These expenses will include the expenditure of food and lodging during all the academic levels of her graduation.

Akansha Singh lives in Kushinagar district of UP and has achieved 100% score in NEET 2020 exam.  

Though Akansha was given second rank in the examination, she has been declared as top-ranked along with Soyeb Aftab who is native of Odisha state. On the direction of CM Yogi Adityanath, a letter is to be sent by the chief secretary of UP state, to the authorities concerned for the declaration of NEET 2020 ranks to declare Akansha Singh and Soyeb Aftab, both as the first rankers of NEET 2020 examination as they both have scored 720 marks out of maximum score of 720. 

Besides, personal wishes are sent from UP CM to the family members and parents of AKansha Singh, laurelled the top- scorer as an ideal for all the girls. CM Yogi Adityanath appreciated the hard -work she has made and the high perseverance she has maintained throughout her preparation. 

On the other side, Shoyeb Aftab has also created a history with a full score of 720/720 and All India Rank of 1. He is the first-ever candidate to score 100% in NEET examination. From Odisha state also, he is the first student to Top NEET. With this high score, he hopes to get admission in AIIMS New Delhi. 

NEET 2020 comprises a sum of 180 MCQ type questions for a maximum of 720 marks. Qualified candidates who have scored at least or more than NEET 2020 cut-off are considered eligible to participate in the counselling process of NEET 2020. This implies that the candidates with scores more than NTA NEET 2020 cut-off will be eligible for enrollment to state-quota seats India quota (AIQ) seats through NEET 2020 counselling. The NEET 2020 cutoff for students who belong to General Category is 147. The highest number of students who have qualified NEET 2020 are from Uttar Pradesh followed by Maharashtra.

Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association, KPPGCA has released the admit card for KMAT 2020 for the eligible candidates who applied for the examination by filling the application form and paying the prescribed application fee. The admit card has been released via online mode on the official website of KPPGCA on 27th October 2020. 

Successful candidates need to download their admit card from the official website i.e. kmatindia.com. using their login credentials.

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2020 is an entrance examination that will be conducted by KPPGCA (Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association) to offer enrollment to the qualified candidates in 189+ AICTE or University accredited Management Schools established in Bangalore and Karnataka. This year, the examination will be conducted on 29th October 2020 for admission to management institutes in the state.

According to an official statement by Raghu Sharma, Rajasthan Health Minister, approval for the additional seats in MBBS in Rajasthan has been granted. 230 additional seats have been green signalled for the MBBS programmes at four medical schools in the state. 50 additional seats will be given to the medical schools in Udaipur and Ajmer. As far as Barmer Medical College is concerned, there will be an increment of 30 seats this year. 

In comparison to last year when there was a total increment of 550 seats, seats added this year are lower. However, if taken together, the total addition in MBBS seats in the last two years reaches 880 in Rajasthan, thereby making a sum of 2830 total MBBS seats in Rajasthan, today. 

The initiation of Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar has also received approval by the National Medical Science Commission. The Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar will be started in the session 2020-21. 

Sikar is a native district and approval of a medical college in Sikar was great news for Govind Singh Dotasara, Congress State President, who expressed extreme joy through a tweet over the approval.

"The much-awaited Sikar Medical College has received the approval of the National Medical Science Commission. It is a result of the strong will power of the Congress government of the state that the Sikar people have got their right, their medical college," a tweet by Mr Dotasara.

The news highlights the commencement of first round of NEET 2020 Counselling from Tomorrow

The first round of the NEET 2020 Counselling will start from 27th of October 2020 by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The first round of seat allotment under this process will commence from tomorrow. The counselling process will be conducted only for those candidates who have qualified the NEET 2020 exam. Unqualified aspirants will not be able to take part in the same. However, the registration is mandatory for the eligible candidates to participate in the counselling. 

Registration for the first round of seat allotment needs to be done on the official website of MCC - mcc.nic.in. and will remain open till 2nd November 2020 before 5 pm. It must be noted that registration must be done before the deadlines otherwise the participation in the seat allotment process is prohibited. 

NEET 2020 registration process seeks the names of the courses and colleges preferred by the candidates that means the candidates will have to fill in their choices about the college and the course during the registration process. However, the candidates will be allowed to fill in their preference within a specific course of time i.e. from 28th October 2020 to 2nd November 2020, after that the preferences will be frozen. 

Followed by the 2nd round of seat allotment, details about which will be notified very soon, the 1st round will be conducted on 3rd and 4th November and the results of the same will be declared on 5th November 2020. Here is the process to register for the counselling process of NEET 2020:

NEET counselling 2020: Online registration process

Step 1: Go to the official website of MCC i.e. mcc.nic.in.

Step 2: Find and click on the ‘UG Medical Counselling’ link available on the homepage.

Step 3: Click on ‘New Registration’.

Step 4: Save your new login ID and password that will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Click on ‘Candidate Login’ and enter your new login credentials.

Step 6: Enter all the details asked.

Step 7: You will get a registration slip after filling all the details. 

Step 8: Make a payment of the registration fee. 

The registration fee needs to be paid before the deadline and the due date for the payment of the registration fee for NEET 2020 Counselling's first round is 2nd November 2020.
