All About DUJAT 2021: Application Fee & Process, Eligibility, Exam-pattern and Result

Delhi University Joint Admission Test is also known as DU JAT is a national level entrance test conducted by National Testing Agency for admission to professional UG programs offered by 18 colleges affiliated to Delhi University. The exam takes place in online mode and evaluates the competency of the candidates through four sections viz. Quantitative Ability, Reasoning and Analytical Ability, General English and Business and General Awareness, that together concludes the question-paper.The entrance examination is conducted once in a year and the eligible candidates are offered admission based on the marks they score in the exam and performance in the GD (Group Discussion) and PI (Personal Interview) rounds that is organised by the Delhi University.

DU JAT 2021 will begin from the 1st week of June 2021 and continue till the 2nd week of June 2021. The application forms for DU JAT 2021 will be released in the 1st week of March 2021 in online mode on the official website and the last date to fill DU JAT 2021 application form will be the 4th week of March 2021.

DU JAT 2021: Eligibility Criteria

To appear for DU JAT 2021, students must comply with the following:-

  • Must have secured at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/CW/PwD and 54% for OBC categories) with English & Mathematics among core subjects in class 12. The aggregate should be based on the marks in 4 papers – English, Mathematics and any other 2 subjects provided by the DU.
  • Ones who have appeared in their final exams and their results are in the process, can also apply for the DU JAT exam. However, they will have to come up with the required certificate at the time of counselling.
  • Must have cleared all the 4 subjects.
  • Candidates with “compartment” results are not eligible to apply.

DU JAT 2021: Admission Process

  1. Fill up the Application Form as described in the “Registration Process” mentioned below.
  2. Download the DU JAT 2021 Admit Card – Admit Cards will be available on the official website of DU.

You can apply for DU JAT 2021 on the official website of DU. Required documents are:-

  • Email ID and phone number
  • Scanned images of photograph and signature
  • Self-Attested scanned image of 10th standard board certificate

Follow these steps to apply for DU JAT 2021.

Step 1

  • Visit the official website of DU.
  • Click on the tab ‘New Registration’.
  • Enter your personal details correctly like name, security question, password and mobile number.
  • Agree to the T&Cs and click on ‘Register’ to proceed
  • Registration number and password will be generated which will be sent to candidates registered email ID
  • Click on the ‘Continue’ option to access the DU JAT application form.

Step 2

Fill up the 9 columns of the application form.

  • Personal Details – Fill in the D.O.B., gender, Aadhar Card number, category, family details, permanent address, bank details for refund (if applicable). 
  • Academic Details – Students need to enter their examination board, year of passing, result status, class 12 roll no., elementary mother-tongue language.
  • Merit-Based Course – If candidates want to apply for merit-based courses, then ‘Yes’. Otherwise, ‘No’.
  • Entrance based exam – Select ‘Yes’ from the drop-down menu and click on the “Course” you want to apply for. Once candidates click on the course, a dropdown will open up for listing your preference of colleges and exam centers.
  • Sports quota, EWS and ECA Category – Select your categories from the dropdown menu and click next to proceed.

Step 3

Upload the scanned copies of the following documents.

  • Passport size Photograph.
  • Photograph file size should be 20KB and signature file size should be 50KB in .jpg/.jpeg format.
  • File Size of class 10 board’s certificate should be 75-150 KBs.

Step 4

Proceed for payment of the application fee after checking all the details.

Step 5

Select your mode of payment, enter card details, and pay the registration money.

DU JAT 2021: Application Form

Application forms for DU JAT 2021 will be downloadable from the official website from the first week of March 2021and will have to be submitted online before the last date of submission i.e. the last week of March 2021. The forms pry into academic records along with personal details and the scanned copies of some important documents which need to be submitted online. Documents which should be uploaded in the application form are as follows:

  • Coloured Passport Size photograph of 5mm*5mm size.
  • Applicant’s scanned signature.
  • Self -Attested 10th standard mark sheet containing D.O.B.
  • Self-Attested 12th standard Mark sheet.
  • Self-attested copy of the valid SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD/KM/CW certificates (if any).

DU JAT 2021: Admit Card

DU JAT 2021 Admit cards will be issued via online mode and will be downloadable from the official website of NTA from the last week of April 2021. The admit card will not be delivered to the candidates via fax or post or any other offline medium. Students will need to download the admit card from the official website by entering the details asked. DU JAT 2021 admit card is a mandatory document to carry along with the valid photo while appearing for the exam. No candidates will be permitted to enter the exam hall without the admit card. DU JAT 2021 admit cards will comprise the details about the candidate as well as the exam such as candidate’s name, roll number, exam centres, exam guidelines etc. Candidates must keep their admit card safe till the completion of the admission procedure.

DU JAT 2021: Exam Pattern

Mode of the entrance test: Online mode (computer-based test).

Type of Qs: The question paper will contain objective type questions.

Duration: 2 hours will be given to attempt the complete question paper.

Sections: The question paper will comprise four sections, namely, business & general awareness, reasoning & analytical ability, quantitative ability, General English.

Marking scheme: One mark will be awarded for each correct answer.

Negative marking: One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

DU JAT 2021: Answer Key

After the completion of DU JAT 2021 examination, the provisional answer key will be made available on the official website to facilitate the candidates to calculate their scores. Based on the provisional answer keys, the candidates will be able to challenge the answers in case of any discrepancies in the answers. The Conducting authority will release the final answer key of DU JAT 2021 after taking into account the valid objections initiated by the candidates.

DU JAT 2021: Selection Criteria

A merit list of candidates is prepared based on their ranking calculated by taking the weighted average of their entrance test score & 12th standard score into consideration. This list announces the candidates eligible for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

DU JAT 2021: Result

DU JAT 2021 Result will be declared through online mode on the official website. All the candidates will need to check the result by filling their login details, viz., application number and DOB. The candidates will be able to access their merit ranks or scorecard. Candidates will get admissions into the programmes offered by DU as per their performance in the entrance test. DU JAT 2021: Counselling Process

Applicants are allotted seats as per their ranking & as per their choices subjected to its availability till all seats in that particular college get filled. Applicants allotted a seat cannot make adjustments under the same admission category. Applicants are required to download an admission form from their dashboard of the admission portal. Report to the allotted college for verification of documents along with the admission form. Upon verification of documents, applicants need to pay the admission fees. Once the fee is received, they will be declared as successfully admitted.

Students participated in Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) June 2020 TEE, and December 2019 TEE exam will now be allowed to apply for the xerox copies of answer booklets. Indira Gandhi National Open University has decided to allow the students for the revaluation and re totalling of marks, they scored in these examinations.

The results of IGNOU June 2020 TEE were announced on October 1. With the upcoming facility of issuance of the photocopy of answer booklets, the students who were dissatisfied with their results can apply for the revaluation of marks scored in the term-end examinations and the photocopies of IGNOU TEE answer sheets. 

The application for the same will have to be made online on the official website of the university. Students simply need to go to the IGNOU website and click apply on the designated link. After which, a few details need to be filled, followed by the payment of the application fee and submission of the application form. 

It must be noted that the applications for revaluation and photocopies of IGNOU December 2019 TEE and IGNOU June 2020 TEE of exams comprising MCQ type questions are disallowed. 

According to the statement in the IGNOU revaluation window,  “Reevaluation and copy of Answerscripts is not available for the Following Exam for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type and conducted on OMR sheets.”

Students can apply for and get the photocopies of the answer booklets of IGNOU June TEE and IGNOU December TEE examinations if the answer copy has not been handled for Re-evaluation. Students can either first make an application for the copy of Answer Sheet, followed by an application for Re-evaluation or go for both simultaneously.

Education expenses of NEET topper Akansha Singh will be paid by Uttar Pradesh Government. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made an announcement about the disbursement of her graduation expenses. These expenses will include the expenditure of food and lodging during all the academic levels of her graduation.

Akansha Singh lives in Kushinagar district of UP and has achieved 100% score in NEET 2020 exam.  

Though Akansha was given second rank in the examination, she has been declared as top-ranked along with Soyeb Aftab who is native of Odisha state. On the direction of CM Yogi Adityanath, a letter is to be sent by the chief secretary of UP state, to the authorities concerned for the declaration of NEET 2020 ranks to declare Akansha Singh and Soyeb Aftab, both as the first rankers of NEET 2020 examination as they both have scored 720 marks out of maximum score of 720. 

Besides, personal wishes are sent from UP CM to the family members and parents of AKansha Singh, laurelled the top- scorer as an ideal for all the girls. CM Yogi Adityanath appreciated the hard -work she has made and the high perseverance she has maintained throughout her preparation. 

On the other side, Shoyeb Aftab has also created a history with a full score of 720/720 and All India Rank of 1. He is the first-ever candidate to score 100% in NEET examination. From Odisha state also, he is the first student to Top NEET. With this high score, he hopes to get admission in AIIMS New Delhi. 

NEET 2020 comprises a sum of 180 MCQ type questions for a maximum of 720 marks. Qualified candidates who have scored at least or more than NEET 2020 cut-off are considered eligible to participate in the counselling process of NEET 2020. This implies that the candidates with scores more than NTA NEET 2020 cut-off will be eligible for enrollment to state-quota seats India quota (AIQ) seats through NEET 2020 counselling. The NEET 2020 cutoff for students who belong to General Category is 147. The highest number of students who have qualified NEET 2020 are from Uttar Pradesh followed by Maharashtra.

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2020 is an entrance examination that will be conducted by KPPGCA (Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association) to offer enrollment to the qualified candidates in 189+ AICTE or University accredited Management Schools established in Bangalore and Karnataka. According to an official statement by Raghu Sharma, Rajasthan Health Minister, approval for the additional seats in MBBS in Rajasthan has been granted. 230 additional seats have been green signalled for the MBBS programmes at four medical schools in the state. 50 additional seats will be given to the medical schools in Udaipur and Ajmer. As far as Barmer Medical College is concerned, there will be an increment of 30 seats this year. 

In comparison to last year when there was a total increment of 550 seats, seats added this year are lower. However, if taken together, the total addition in MBBS seats in the last two years reaches 880 in Rajasthan, thereby making a sum of 2830 total MBBS seats in Rajasthan, today. 

The initiation of Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar has also received approval by the National Medical Science Commission. The Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar will be started in the session 2020-21. 

Sikar is a native district and approval of a medical college in Sikar was great news for Govind Singh Dotasara, Congress State President, who expressed extreme joy through a tweet over the approval.

"The much-awaited Sikar Medical College has received the approval of the National Medical Science Commission. It is a result of the strong will power of the Congress government of the state that the Sikar people have got their right, their medical college," a tweet by Mr Dotasara.

The first round of the NEET 2020 Counselling will start from 27th of October 2020 by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The first round of seat allotment under this process will commence from tomorrow. The counselling process will be conducted only for those candidates who have qualified the NEET 2020 exam. Unqualified aspirants will not be able to take part in the same. However, the registration is mandatory for the eligible candidates to participate in the counselling. 

Registration for the first round of seat allotment needs to be done on the official website of MCC - mcc.nic.in. and will remain open till 2nd November 2020 before 5 pm. It must be noted that registration must be done before the deadlines otherwise the participation in the seat allotment process is prohibited. 

NEET 2020 registration process seeks the names of the courses and colleges preferred by the candidates that means the candidates will have to fill in their choices about the college and the course during the registration process. However, the candidates will be allowed to fill in their preference within a specific course of time i.e. from 28th October 2020 to 2nd November 2020, after that the preferences will be frozen. 

Followed by the 2nd round of seat allotment, details about which will be notified very soon, the 1st round will be conducted on 3rd and 4th November and the results of the same will be declared on 5th November 2020. Here is the process to register for the counselling process of NEET 2020:

Step 1: Go to the official website of MCC i.e. mcc.nic.in.

Step 2: Find and click on the ‘UG Medical Counselling’ link available on the homepage.

Step 3: Click on ‘New Registration’.

Step 4: Save your new login ID and password that will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Click on ‘Candidate Login’ and enter your new login credentials.

Step 7: You will get a registration slip after filling all the details.
