The IISC Admission 2021 Registration process will commence in the 1st week of February 2021. The admission will be offered in the Indian Institute of Science (IISc.) based on the scores in the JEE Main, JEE Advanced, CEED, NEET, UGC NET, KVPY SA, KVPY, KVPY SB, KVPY SX and other National-level Entrance Test. Indian Institute of Science (IISc) offers various kinds of Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programs. The eligible students for admission will be provided in the scientific and research field. The students will get admission through the various entrance exams like JEE Main, JEE advanced, CEED, JAM, NEET, and other various national level examinations. Based on CEED/GATE scores, candidates will be eligible to get admission for M.Des Course. For M.tech and Mmgt programs, candidates have to get shortlisted in the GATE/CAT/GMAT examination. Eligibility Criteria for IISc 2021
Candidates are requested to go through the following mentioned eligibility criteria.
For UG courses
- Candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination in the year 2020
- Candidates must have passed class 12th with physics, chemistry and mathematics subjects
- Candidates must have got a minimum of 60% in the qualifying exam.
- There are no marks prescribed for SC/ST candidates
- Candidates who are appearing for class 12th examination this year are also eligible.
For PG courses
- Candidates must have held a bachelor's degree in the field of technology or engineering
- Candidates who are in the last year of their bachelor’s degree are also eligible for the exam.
- Candidates must have a certified scorecard of the year 2019/2020/2021.
IISc 2021: Application Form
The IISc 2021 Application Form will be available online on the official website for the UG, PG, and Ph.D. programs from the first week of February 2021. The IISc 2021 Application Form must have to be submitted by the interested candidates before the deadline i.e. last week of April 2021 for the UG Courses and the Last week of March 2021 for the PG Courses. The candidates must register themselves with the valid Email ID and the Mobile number and fill the application form followed by uploading the scanned copy of the Signature and the Passport Size Photograph. The candidates are advised to take the printouts of the application form for future use.

IISc 2021: Cut-off
- IISc will release the cut off for IISc 2021 via online mode.
- The minimum marks required to get into the IISc will be the cut off of IISc 2021
- The cut off varies every year. The cut-off will be based on the level of difficulty of the exam, the number of students appearing for the examination and previous year cut-off trends.
- The expected cut-off for IISc 2021 are as follows.
- For General Category Candidates – 60%

- The admission process of IISc 2021 will start after the results.
- After getting selected through merit list, to get allotted with the seat, candidates need to register online portal named ‘common offer acceptance portal’ ( COAP)

IISc 2021: Bangalore UG Admission
Admission in BSc (Research) at UG level is offered by IISc (Indian Institute of Science) to the candidates who are standard 12th qualified.
IISc 2021: Bangalore BSc (Research) Admission
Admission in BSc (Research) is offered in six specialisations. Qualification in the following six entrance exams marks the eligibility of the candidates to get enrolled in BSc (Research).
JEE Main: IISc BSc (Research) admission is offered based on performance in JEE Main. For admission in BSc in 2021, candidates need to appear for JEE Main 2021 and secure at least 60%. This is the minimum percentage for the candidate who belongs to the general category, for those who belong to OBC-NCL and SC/ST/PwD, the minimum qualifying score is 54% and 30%.
JEE Advanced: For enrollment into IISc BSc (Research), aspirants need to take JEE Advanced 2021 and score minimum qualifying marks i.e. 60% for general category and 54 % & 30% for those who belong to OBC-NCL and SC/ST/PwD, respectively.
NEET UG: The enrollment in the course can be offered based on the scores on NEET PG 2021. 60% is the minimum percentage for the candidate who belongs to the general category, for those who belong to OBC-NCL and SC/ST/PwD, the minimum qualifying score is 54% and 30%.
KVPY: This national level scholarship program is classified into 3 streams:
- SA: aspirants pursuing Science and presently in standard 11th
- SX: aspirants pursuing Science and presently in standard 12th
- SB: aspirants pursuing a programme in Basic Science and presently in the 1st year of UG programme.

IISc 2021 Bangalore Admission: MDes, MMgt
Indian Institute of Science offers admission in MDes and MMgt at Postgraduate level. Enrollment to IISc MDes programme is offered based on qualifying score in GATE or CEED followed by Personal Interview conducted by the respective department. The admission in MMgt programme is offered through CAT, GATE and GMAT entrance exams. The qualified candidates will be called to participate in the GD and PI rounds conducted by the University.
- Candidates are shortlisted based on scores in Design Aptitude Test and called for the Interview based on the score in GATE/CEED.

IISc Bangalore PG 2021 Admission
Integrated PhD and PhD programmes are also offered by Indian Institute of Science.
The Integrated PhD programme is offered in four specialisations through IIT JAM and JEST exams. Based on the performance in the Jam 2021 exam, the candidate will be called for the PI round that is conducted by the university before offering the admission. Similarly, the admission to the Chemical Sciences, will also be offered based on the candidate’s performance in the Personal Interview round. However, for the enrollment in the Mathematicals Sciences, Biological Sciences and Physical Sciences, the interested aspirant will have to qualify the qualifying examination as well as the PI.

IISc Bangalore PhD Admission 2021
Admission to IISc PhD is offered based on the qualifying score in GATE or NET JRF. The candidates are shortlisted based on the score in GATE or NET JRF or performance in PI. The final admission are done based on performance in PI round, however, for a few departments, aptitude test or preliminary interview will supersede the PI round.
