About IISER Aptitude Test
IISER (Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research) Aptitude Test is a national-level online entrance exam conducted by (IISERs) once in a year to check the competence of the applicants before offering them admission to the BS-MS dual degree programme of five years through three mediums viz. JEE Advanced, SCB and KVPY.
Based on applicants’ performance in IISER entrance exam/ IISER aptitude test, admission is given to them at different campuses of IISER established in Kolkata, Pune, Berhampur, Mohali, Bhopal, Thiruvananthapuram or Tirupati.
IISER 2021 Aptitude Test will be held in the fourth Week of May 2021 and the admission will be offered based on the performance in any of the three channels, namely, SCB, KVPY, and JEE Advanced exam. SCB is the only channel through which candidates are offered admission based on the entrance test. The IISER 2021 is the national level entrance test conducted once a year by the Indian Institutes of Science Education & Research (IISER). Qualification in IISER 2021 SCB Aptitude test is an entry-ticket to get enrolled in the 5-year dual degree BS-MS course.

IISER Aptitude Test 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of IISER 2021 changes as per the three different channels of admission which are as follows:
For KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana)
Applicants must have a KVPY fellowship starting from the academic session 2021-2022.
For JEE Advanced (Joint Entrance Examination of Indian Institutes of Technology)
General category applicants must have a rank secured in JEE Advanced within the range that will be stipulated by the concerned authorities.
For SCB (State and Central Boards)
Applicants must score equal to or above cut off marks in IISER aptitude test 2021 required for IISER admissions 2021.
Note:
- Applicants from OBC (non-creamy layer) and PwD categories will get a 5% relaxation in the cutoff percentage.
- Applicants from SC/ ST/ Kashmiri Migrants (KM) categories become eligible for IISER Aptitude Test if they score 55% in Class XII from any recognised board.

IISER Entrance Exam 2021 Application Procedure
To apply for IISER Entrance Exam 2021, follow the below-given steps:-
Step 1 – Registration at IISER Admission Portal
- Visit the official website of IISER.
- Click on ‘Register’
- Click on ‘New User’ (if you are a new user)
- Fill in the credentials such as Name (as mentioned in the mark sheet of Class XII), Phone Number, D.O.B., valid Email ID
- Set a password
- Check the details filled and click on ‘Confirm’.
- Check the OTP sent on your mobile number → verify the number → re-login.
Step 2 – Online filling of the IISER Entrance Exam Application Form
- Enter the personal details- Name, DOB, category, religion, disability status, etc
- Enter the education details- subject-wise score of Class XII, Board’s name, etc.
- Choose the IISER exam centre & preference for IISER campus
- Upload photo of 2MB size or lesser in png/ jpg/ BMP format
- Choose ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ for the Float option.

IISER Entrance Exam 2021 Admit Card
The IISER Admission 2021 Admit Card will be released on the official website- http://www.iiseradmission.in/. Once released, the admit cards will be downloadable by the successful applicants who will fill the application form and pay the application fee before the deadline. No hard copy or soft copy of IISER Entrance Exam 2021 Admit Card will be posted or mailed individually to the applicants. Students will need to download the admit card from the official website by entering the details asked. IISER Entrance Exam 2021 admit card is a mandatory document to carry along with the valid photo while appearing for the exam. No candidates will be permitted to enter the exam hall without the admit card. IISER Entrance Exam 2021 admit cards will comprise the details about the candidate as well as the exam such as candidate’s name, roll number, exam centres, exam guidelines etc.

The result of IISER Entrance Exam 2021 will be announced in online mode on the official website. To access the result of IISER Entrance Exam 2021 and download the scorecard, the candidates will have to fill the login credentials viz. Username and Password in the login window. Do I need to attempt questions of all the 4 subjects or any three subjects out of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics?
An applicant needs to attempt questions from all the four subjects viz. Biology, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
Each subject consists of 15 questions of 3 marks each, making a question paper of 60 questions in total. For every wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of one mark.
I am good at PCM but weak in Biology and I want to take admission in IISER. What is the solution for me?
You can get admission via JEE Advanced in IISER, provided your rank must be in top 10,000 to meet the eligibility for admission.
What is a BS-MS degree and who offers it?
BS-MS degree is a dual degree of Bachelor of Science and Master of Science. The degree is autonomously offered by individual IISERs.
What is the total number of seats that are available for the BS degree programme in the present year?
Presently, only IISER Bhopal awards BS degree programmes. 115 is the tentative total number of seats(including supernumerary) available for the admission to BS programme. Out of 115, 73 is for BS Engineering Sciences and 42 is for BS Economic Sciences.
