Indian Law Institute Common Admission Test
The Indian Law Institute Common Admission Test (ILICAT) is an offline law entrance exam administered by The Indian Law Institute (ILI) to select candidates for next round of selection i.e. viva-voce for their final enrollment into a one-year LLM program. The score in the entrance test and viva-voce together concludes the competency of the candidate for admission into one-year LLB Course. ILICAT is conducted in pen-paper mode wherein the objective, as well as subjective type questions, have to be attempted by the test-takers.

Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria specified by ILI for LLM program:
* LLB degree holders from any institute or university acknowledged by the BAR council of India.
* Law degree holders from a foreign university affiliated by the recognised university, with a 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.
* Final year candidates, provided they obtain qualifying scores in the qualifying exam.
* Minimum age of 21 years.
Application Form
The ILICAT Application Form can be filled & submitted online as well as offline through a postal letter and on the official website, respectively. To fill the application form in online mode, here are a few simple steps that need to be executed by the candidate:
Step 1: Registration
* Go to the official website.
* Click on the link “ILICAT 2020”, will take you to another page
* Enter your name, mobile number, email id and DOB.
* This completes the “ILICAT 2020 registration”.
* Check your username and password sent by the university on your registered mobile no. and mail id.
Step 2: Uploading the scanned copies of photograph & signature
After filling in the details in the Application Form, upload the scanned copies of your recent passport size photograph and signature of maximum 100 KB and 50 KB, respectively.
Step 3: Uploading the academic details
* Percentage and total score in standard 10th and 12th.
* Graduation and post-graduation details.
* Upload the details whether or not you are NET qualified.
Step 4: Pay the ILICAT 2020 application fee
* Online through credit/ debit card.
* Offline through DD.

Note: Students requesting for the application form through letter must send along a DD of INR 1100 enclosed.
ILICAT 2020 Admit Card
ILICAT 2020 Admit Card has to be downloaded from the official website by clicking on the link- “ILICAT 2020 admit card”. Besides, they are individually posted to the candidates who have applied for the exam in an offline mode by sending a DD of INR.1100 in favour of ILICAT office.
ILICAT Exam Pattern
ILICAT 2020 will be held in a paper-pen based mode for a duration of 2.5 hours to attempt a total of 144 questions under the three sections. The first two sections will be objective in nature with a total of 140 MCQs whereas the third one will be subjective with a 150 word limit for each answer of a total of 4 questions. In the objective part, one mark will be awarded for each right answer and 1/4th will be deducted for each wrong attempt.
ILICAT 2020 Result
ILICAT 2020 Result will be published in merit-list format in both the modes- online on the official website of ILICAT and offline on the notice board of Indian Law Institute, Delhi. Based on candidates’ performance in the entrance test, their names will be enlisted in the merit list and only these candidates will be called for counselling and seat allotment process.
Counselling
ILICAT counselling 2020 will take place via offline mode at the Delhi campus of Indian Law Institute for the candidates who successfully qualify the GD and viva-voce round. Counselling will take in three stages based on the merit list with higher preference given to higher-rank holders. ILI CAT 2020 Counselling procedure will be commenced by Indian Law Institute tentatively in July 2020.
FAQs
Q. Will there be any negative marking for incorrect answers in ILICAT 2O2O?
A. Yes, 1/4th mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer under the first two objective type sections, however, in the third subjective type section, there will not be any negative scheme.
Q. Can we send the ILICAT 2020 application form through a postal medium?
A. Yes, if you wish to apply for ILICAT 2020 in offline mode, you can send the application form via post.
Q. Is there any age limit to apply for ILICAT 2020?
A. Yes, the candidate must be at least 21 years old to apply for ILICAT 2020, however, the upper age limit has not been yet prescribed by the authorities.
Q. Can we pay the application fee through cheque?
A. No, the cheque is not allowed to make the payment of Application Fee and one has to pay it via DD.
