IIT JAM is a joint admission test that is conducted once every year since 2004 and is organized by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) every year on a rotational basis on account of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), GOI, to shortlist the competent candidates for admissions in M.Sc. (two years), Joint M.sc- Ph.D., M.sc-Ph. D Dual degree and other post bachelor’s degree programs that are available at IITs. Apart from IITs, a few other institutes such as IISc Bangalore, IISER Bhopal, IISER Pune, IISER Tirupati and centralized counseling for M.Sc./M.Sc. (Tech) for NITs also accept the JAM 2021 results for admission in their varied postgraduate programs. In addition, if students have any concerns regarding the JAM 2021 examination, the final decision regarding the concern will be of the organizing institute and would be binding on all applicants. 

IIT JAM 2021 is a national level examination will be conducted by IISc, Bangalore for admission into M.Sc., Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., Masters in Economics, M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, and other PG degree programmes offered by 20 IITs and IISc Bangalore. IIT JAM 2021 will take place on February 14, 2021 in an online mode as a computer-based exam in two different sessions.The application forms for IIT JAM 2021 have been released online by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore on September 10 on the official website- jam.iisc.ac.in. The last to fill the application form is October 15. Successful applicants will be able to download the JAM admit card 2021 from the official website after January 5, 2021. After the examination, the IIT JAM 2021 answer key will be published in the 3rd week of February alongside the exam papers. The result of the same will be announced March 20, however, the scorecard will be accessible and downloadable from March 27, 2021. The scorecard will be available for download over 4 months i.e. from March 27 to July 31.

IIT JAM 2021 Syllabus

The exam will be divided into three sections where,

  • Section A: would contain 30 (MCQ type) questions of a total 0f 50 marks.
  • Section B: would contain 10 (MSQ type) questions for 20 marks.
  • Section C: would be of 20 numeric answer type (NAT) for 30 marks.

This would conclude the exam to be for 100 marks.

The syllabus for the examination of IIT JAM 2021 includes 6 subjects to prepare for such as:

  • Biotechnology (BT): This test paper includes subjects like biology, mathematics, chemistry, and physics. The level of each subject should be of (10+2+3).
  • Chemistry (CY): This test paper includes subdivided subjects such as fundamental concepts of mathematical, atomic and molecular structure, the theory of gases, chemical thermodynamics and phase equilibria, electrochemistry, adsorption, spectroscopy, organic chemistry, and inorganic chemistry.
  • Geology (GG): This test paper includes subdivided subjects such as the planet earth, geomorphology, structural geology, palaeontology, stratigraphy, mineralogy, petrology, economic geology, and applied geology.
  • Mathematics (MA): This test paper includes subdivided subjects such as real numbers, functions of one variable, functions of two variables, integral calculus, differential equation, vector calculus, group theory, linear algebra & real analysis.
  • Mathematics Statistics (MS): This test paper includes subdivided subjects such as Sequence & series, matrices, probability, random variables, standard, joint & sample distribution, limit theorems, estimation & testing of hypothesis.
  • Physics (PH): this test paper includes subdivided subjects such as mathematical methods, mechanics & general properties of matter, oscillations, waves, electricity & magnetism, modern physics, and solid-state of physics.

IIT JAM 2021 Admission Process

  • Step1: Apply for the IIT JAM 2021 Examination through their website online.
  • Step2: Download the admit card and appear for the examination that happened on Feb 09 ‘20.
  • Step3: Check your results of the examination on the All India merit list that is prepared. Candidates whose name and roll number appear in the list are qualified for admission courses offered at IIT.
  • Step4: Apply for the online application for admission, where candidates have to pay a non-refundable fee of ₹ 600/-. The application should be filled with all details and attached documents required.
  • Step5: After admission forms are filled an admission list will be concluded on the exam website itself and offer letters will be sent by the admitting colleges to students.

IIT JAM 2021: Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the IIT JAM Examination there are a few requirements each applicant should check to be allowed to appear for the examination:

  • The Applicant must have a bachelor's degree preferably in subjects of science such as Geology, Biotechnology, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry.
  • The Applicant is required to have at least 55% or 5.5 CGPA out of 10 for a general/OBC category candidate and 50% or 5.0 CGPA for SC/ST category candidates.
    Note: If CGPA/CPI is on a different scale, it would be linearly mapped to a scale of 10.
  • There is no age restriction.

IIT JAM 2021: Application Form

IISc Bangalore released the application forms for IIT JAM 2021 on September 10, 2020 online on the official website of the exam. The candidates need to fill the application form before the deadlines by first creating a login ID on the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) with their valid email ID, mobile no. and password and filling up the required details in the registration form, followed by the payment of the application fee. It must be noted that only one application form is allowed to be filled using one email address. The application form for IIT Jam must be filled with valid details and verified before the final submission as any discrepancies may lead to the rejection of the application form if not corrected within the given time on intimation to rectify the details. 

Steps to fill IIT JAM Application Form 2021

Step 1 - Registration

  • Go to the official website of IIT JAM 2021
  • Complete the registration by clicking on 'Register Here'.
  • Fill in the valid e-mail ID, mobile no., name, etc 
  • Upon the successful registration, ensure that an enrolment ID has been received on the registered email ID and password.

Step 2 - Entering the details in the application form

  • Go to the JOAPS portal and log in using the enrolment ID/ email-ID and Password
  • Fill in the personal, educational and contact details.
  • Choose the test city preferences.
  • Click on the 'Save'.

Step 3 - Uploading the Documents

  • Once the JAM application form is filled, candidates need to upload the scanned copies of specified documents in the specified specifications which are as follows:

IIT JAM 2021: Admit Card

The admit card./hall ticket of IIT JAM 2021 will be issued by IISc Bangalore on January 5 for the successful applicants. The admit card of JAM 2021 is a mandatory document to carry along while appearing for the entrance examination to the exam centre. The admit card of JAM 2021 must be preserved safely till the completion of the admission process.

  • Click on 'Download JAM Admit Card'
  • You will be redirected to the JOAPS portal where a login window will appear.

IIT JAM 2021: Exam Pattern 

IIT JAM 2021 will be held in online mode as a computer-based exam. According to the exam pattern of JAM 2021, a total of three types of questions will be there, namely, multiple select questions, multiple choice questions and numerical answer type questions. The exam paper of JAM 2021 will comprise a total of 60 questions under three sections - Section A, Section B, Section C, carrying 100 marks in total.

IIT JAM 2021: Answer Key

After the completion of JAM 2021 examination, the provisional answer key will be made available on the official website of IIT JAM 2021to facilitate the candidates to calculate their scores. Based on the provisional answer keys, the candidates will be able to challenge the answers in case of any discrepancies in the answer key. The Conducting authority will release the final answer key of IIT JAM 2021 after taking into account the valid objections initiated by the candidates.

IIT JAM Result 2021

The JAM 2021 result will be announced in the online mode on March 20 on the official website. IIT JAM 2021 results will comprise details like scores obtained by the candidate, candidate’s category, name of the programme, exam date and so on. Candidates will have to enter their enrolment ID/email ID and password on the result login page of the JOAPS portal to access the IIT JAM 2021 result. The JAM 2021 scorecard will be released in the 4th week of March 2021. Based on candidates’ performance, All India Ranks will be released by the institute. 

IIT JAM Merit List 2021

IIT JAM 2021 will be published on March 20 online alongside the result mentioning the details of the qualified candidates like All India Ranks. IIT JAM 2021 merit list will become accessible to the candidates when they will login to the JOAPS portal login window by using their credentials like enrolment ID and password. 

IIT JAM Cutoff 2021

IIT JAM Cut off 2021 will be announced alongside the result and merit rist on March 20. The cut off of JAM 2021 may differ for different categories and exam-papers based on different factors like total no. of seats & applicants, complexity of the question paper, past cut off trends and average marks scored by the participants in IIT JAM.

IIT JAM Counselling 2021

After the declaration of the results and release of the admission form of IIT JAM 2021, the counselling process will begin to finalise the admission. The JAM 2021 admission form will  be released in the month of April and interested candidates will be able to fill the same from April 15. All the qualified candidates need to fill the admission form to participate in the counselling process. The interested participants will be allowed to fill their preferences for the institutes before April 28. The counselling process will comprise of the three rounds that will be conducted by IISc Bangalore. On the completion of the third round of counselling, one spot admission round will begin to offer the vacant seats. This round will be conducted by the institutes individually only if the seats will be vacant.

Students participated in Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) June 2020 TEE, and December 2019 TEE exam will now be allowed to apply for the xerox copies of answer booklets. Indira Gandhi National Open University has decided to allow the students for the revaluation and re totalling of marks, they scored in these examinations.

The results of IGNOU June 2020 TEE were announced on October 1. With the upcoming facility of issuance of the photocopy of answer booklets, the students who were dissatisfied with their results can apply for the revaluation of marks scored in the term-end examinations and the photocopies of IGNOU TEE answer sheets. 

The application for the same will have to be made online on the official website of the university. Students simply need to go to the IGNOU website and click apply on the designated link. After which, a few details need to be filled, followed by the payment of the application fee and submission of the application form. 

It must be noted that the applications for revaluation and photocopies of IGNOU December 2019 TEE and IGNOU June 2020 TEE of exams comprising MCQ type questions are disallowed. 

According to the statement in the IGNOU revaluation window,  “Reevaluation and copy of Answerscripts is not available for the Following Exam for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type and conducted on OMR sheets.”

Students can apply for and get the photocopies of the answer booklets of IGNOU June TEE and IGNOU December TEE examinations if the answer copy has not been handled for Re-evaluation. Students can either first make an application for the copy of Answer Sheet, followed by an application for Re-evaluation or go for both simultaneously.

Education expenses of NEET topper Akansha Singh will be paid by Uttar Pradesh Government. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made an announcement about the disbursement of her graduation expenses. These expenses will include the expenditure of food and lodging during all the academic levels of her graduation.

Akansha Singh lives in Kushinagar district of UP and has achieved 100% score in NEET 2020 exam.  

Though Akansha was given second rank in the examination, she has been declared as top-ranked along with Soyeb Aftab who is native of Odisha state. On the direction of CM Yogi Adityanath, a letter is to be sent by the chief secretary of UP state, to the authorities concerned for the declaration of NEET 2020 ranks to declare Akansha Singh and Soyeb Aftab, both as the first rankers of NEET 2020 examination as they both have scored 720 marks out of maximum score of 720. 

Besides, personal wishes are sent from UP CM to the family members and parents of AKansha Singh, laurelled the top- scorer as an ideal for all the girls. CM Yogi Adityanath appreciated the hard -work she has made and the high perseverance she has maintained throughout her preparation. 

On the other side, Shoyeb Aftab has also created a history with a full score of 720/720 and All India Rank of 1. He is the first-ever candidate to score 100% in NEET examination. From Odisha state also, he is the first student to Top NEET. With this high score, he hopes to get admission in AIIMS New Delhi. 

NEET 2020 comprises a sum of 180 MCQ type questions for a maximum of 720 marks. Qualified candidates who have scored at least or more than NEET 2020 cut-off are considered eligible to participate in the counselling process of NEET 2020. This implies that the candidates with scores more than NTA NEET 2020 cut-off will be eligible for enrollment to state-quota seats India quota (AIQ) seats through NEET 2020 counselling. The NEET 2020 cutoff for students who belong to General Category is 147. The highest number of students who have qualified NEET 2020 are from Uttar Pradesh followed by Maharashtra.

Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association, KPPGCA has released the admit card for KMAT 2020 for the eligible candidates who applied for the examination by filling the application form and paying the prescribed application fee. The admit card has been released via online mode on the official website of KPPGCA on 27th October 2020. 

Successful candidates need to download their admit card from the official website i.e. kmatindia.com. using their login credentials.

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2020 is an entrance examination that will be conducted by KPPGCA (Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association) to offer enrollment to the qualified candidates in 189+ AICTE or University accredited Management Schools established in Bangalore and Karnataka. This year, the examination will be conducted on 29th October 2020 for admission to management institutes in the state.

According to an official statement by Raghu Sharma, Rajasthan Health Minister, approval for the additional seats in MBBS in Rajasthan has been granted. 230 additional seats have been green signalled for the MBBS programmes at four medical schools in the state. 50 additional seats will be given to the medical schools in Udaipur and Ajmer. As far as Barmer Medical College is concerned, there will be an increment of 30 seats this year. 

In comparison to last year when there was a total increment of 550 seats, seats added this year are lower. However, if taken together, the total addition in MBBS seats in the last two years reaches 880 in Rajasthan, thereby making a sum of 2830 total MBBS seats in Rajasthan, today. 

The initiation of Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar has also received approval by the National Medical Science Commission. The Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar will be started in the session 2020-21. 

Sikar is a native district and approval of a medical college in Sikar was great news for Govind Singh Dotasara, Congress State President, who expressed extreme joy through a tweet over the approval.

"The much-awaited Sikar Medical College has received the approval of the National Medical Science Commission. It is a result of the strong will power of the Congress government of the state that the Sikar people have got their right, their medical college," a tweet by Mr Dotasara.

The news highlights the commencement of first round of NEET 2020 Counselling from Tomorrow

The first round of the NEET 2020 Counselling will start from 27th of October 2020 by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The first round of seat allotment under this process will commence from tomorrow. The counselling process will be conducted only for those candidates who have qualified the NEET 2020 exam. Unqualified aspirants will not be able to take part in the same. However, the registration is mandatory for the eligible candidates to participate in the counselling. 

Registration for the first round of seat allotment needs to be done on the official website of MCC - mcc.nic.in. and will remain open till 2nd November 2020 before 5 pm. It must be noted that registration must be done before the deadlines otherwise the participation in the seat allotment process is prohibited. 

NEET 2020 registration process seeks the names of the courses and colleges preferred by the candidates that means the candidates will have to fill in their choices about the college and the course during the registration process. However, the candidates will be allowed to fill in their preference within a specific course of time i.e. from 28th October 2020 to 2nd November 2020, after that the preferences will be frozen. 

Followed by the 2nd round of seat allotment, details about which will be notified very soon, the 1st round will be conducted on 3rd and 4th November and the results of the same will be declared on 5th November 2020. Here is the process to register for the counselling process of NEET 2020:

Step 1: Go to the official website of MCC i.e. mcc.nic.in.

Step 2: Find and click on the ‘UG Medical Counselling’ link available on the homepage.

Step 3: Click on ‘New Registration’.

Step 4: Save your new login ID and password that will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Click on ‘Candidate Login’ and enter your new login credentials.

Step 6: Enter all the details asked.

Step 7: You will get a registration slip after filling all the details. 

Step 8: Make a payment of the registration fee. 

The registration fee needs to be paid before the deadline and the due date for the payment of the registration fee for NEET 2020 Counselling's first round is 2nd November 2020.
