Management Aptitude Test(MAT) is a national level standard examination conducted by the All India Management Association(AIMA). Through this examination, candidates will be able to enroll themselves for MBA/PGDM courses offered by various business schools. This examination is conducted four times in a calendar year in the months of February, May, September, and December. The examination comprises 5 subjects each subject carrying 40 marks.

Since 1998, the All India Management Association, also known as AIMA, has been conducting a standard aptitude test called Management Aptitude Test (MAT). MAT is considered as a base for admission to MBA & allied programs by over 600 business schools scattered all over India. In 2003, the Ministry of Human Resource Development approved it. The examination is staged 4 times every year – February, May, September, and December.
MAT 2021: REGISTRATION
MAT 2021 registration will begin from the fourth week of December 2020.
The application process will be completely online-based, candidates will be able to register by visiting the official website https://www.aima.in/.
The registration process comprises various processes including filling the application form, uploading documents, fee payment, etc.
The uploaded photograph should be in between 40 to 150 kb and the signature should not exceed 10 to 150 kb size.
Candidates can register for MAT 2021 till the second week of February 2021 for PBT mode and till the third week of February 2021 for CBT mode.
MAT 2021: ELIGIBILITY
- Candidates need to hold a bachelor’s degree from any institute/university recognized by the government.
- Candidates holding professional degrees like CA, CS, and ICWA can also apply for the MAT 2021 exam.
- For candidates, the age limit is not described in the AIMA.
- Candidates appearing for final year examinations are also eligible to apply for CMAT 2021.

MAT 2021: EXAM SYLLABUS
To appear for MAT 2021, all a candidate needs is the academic knowledge he/she has gathered in 10+2+3. For mathematics, the class 10 syllabus as per CBSE is enough for a candidate to ace the examination.
Mathematics: This section will be a part of the CBSE 10th maths syllabus. It will include topics like HCF, LCM, percentage, linear algebra, Average, profit and loss, algebra, ratio and proportion, work and time, geometric progression.
Data Analysis and Sufficiency: This section will cover topics like bar graphs, puzzles, line charts, Venn diagrams, table charts, pie charts.
Indian Global Environment: This section will contain major topics relating to national and global economy i.e. current affairs, woods, and authors, major events incorporate, awards, sports, science, etc.
Language Comprehension: This section includes grammatical exercises such as Jumbled paragraphs, English vocabulary, one-word substitution, Analogies, syllogism, fill in the blanks, idioms, and sentence completion.
General Intelligence and Critical Reasoning: This section focuses on Passage conclusion, statement argument, Analogy based questions, linear arrangement, sequencing, identifying valid interference, Coding, and decoding, statements, and assumptions.

MAT 2021: ADMIT CARD
Admit Cards will be released by AIMA and will be available on the official website by the second week of February 2021. The admit card will not be delivered to the candidates via fax or post or any other offline medium. Students will need to download the admit card from the official website by entering the details asked. MAT 2021 admit card is a mandatory document to carry along with the valid photo while appearing for the exam. No candidates will be permitted to enter the exam hall without the admit card. MAT 2021 admit cards will comprise the details about the candidate as well as the exam such as candidate’s name, roll number, exam centres, exam guidelines etc.Candidates must keep their admit card safe till the completion of the admission procedure.

MAT 2021: CUT OFF
Cut-offs refer to the minimum score a candidate has obtained in order to secure admission in the desired university. MAT 2021 cut-offs will be released by the Affiliated universities/institute after the announcement of results.
HOW CUT OFFS ARE DECIDED?
MAT 2021 cut off and percentiles are decided based on several factors such as the difficulty level of the examination of that specific year, average passing percentage of students, etc. Each participating institute/universities will be deciding the minimum MAT cut off marks for admissions into the following courses after reviewing the following factors:
- Number of candidates who marked their presence in the examination.
- Number of seats offered by the institution.
- Passing percentage of candidates in MAT examination.
- Difficulty level of MAT examination.
- Overall performances of the MAT qualifying candidate.
MAT 2021: RESULT
MAT 2021 results will be declared by the fourth week of February 2021. The MAT 2021 result will be announced in the online mode on the official website. MAT 2021 results will comprise details like scores obtained by the candidate, candidate’s roll number, exam date and so on. Candidates will have to enter their enrolment ID/email ID and password on the result login page to access the MIT 2021 result. The MIT 2021 scorecard will be released in the 4th week of Feb. 2021, based on which the admission will be offered to the qualified candidates.
