Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law or MH CET Law is a national level entrance test administered by Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra to grant admissions into law programmes offered by different law colleges of Maharashtra state. This entrance test lays the foundation for shortlisting the law enthusiasts for admission into 5-year LLB courses at 120 law colleges and UG Law Courses viz. BBA LLB, BLS LLB, BA LLB, BSc. LLB and BCom LLB. The qualified participants are invited for the Maharashtra centralised admission process (CAP) to fill more than 10,000 seats. MH CET law 2020 will be conducted in online mode across different centres in Maharashtra and a few test centres outside Maharashtra.

MHCET 2020 Latest Updates

Maharashtra State CET Cell has postponed the five-year LLB entrance exam until further notice The initially scheduled exam dates for MH CET Law 2020 for three-year LLB and five-year LLB programmes were postponed due to country-wide lockdown until further notifications.  The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MH CET) Cell has now declared August 6 and July 24 as the revised dates of MH CET 2020 law exam for three-year LLB and five-year LLB programmes, respectively. The last date to submit the application form for MH CET Law 2020 has also been extended by CET Cell from May 20 to 30, 2020 in the wake of continuation of lockdown throughout the country.

Eligibility Criteria for MH CET Law 2020 

Eligibility Criteria for five-year integrated LLB courses.

Citizenship: Indian citizenship.

Qualifying Exam : Qualification in the 12th Board Exam/ Senior Secondary Exam/ Intermediate Exam from any acknowledged academic institution under the state or national board of education. 

Qualifying Marks:

* Minimum 45% aggregate score in the qualifying exam for the general category.

* Minimum 40% aggregate score in the qualifying exam for the SC/ST category of Maharashtra.

* Minimum 42% aggregate score in the qualifying exam for the VJNT, SBC, OBC category of Maharashtra.

Age Limit:

* Minimum 20 years of age during the admission- for the general category.

* Minimum 22 years of age during the admission- for the OBC, SC, ST categories of Maharashtra.

* Maximum 30 years of age during the admission- for the general category.

* Minimum 35 years of age during the admission- for the OBC, SC, ST categories of Maharashtra.

Admission Process

The application forms for MH CET Law 2020, wherein the aspirants to enter their basic details, academic information followed by uploading the images, were released online on the official website. 

Steps to apply for MAH Law CET 2020.

* Step 1: Go to the official website and click on the direct link to register for the test.

* Step 2: Register yourself officially by entering your name, mobile no. and email id. After the registration, check your mail and message box where you will receive a registration number along with the password.

* Step 3: Login in using the registration number & password and enter the relevant details in MH CET Law 2020 application form.

* Step 4: Upload the scanned images of documents required and Passport size photographs. 

* Step 5: Pay the Application Fee and download the application form submitted successfully.

MHCET Law 2020 Application Fee 

Application fee for Open category, EWS candidates from Maharashtra & all over India and J&K Migrant Candidates is INR 800/-.

Application fee for SC, ST, VJ / DT- NT (A), NT-1 (B), NT-2 (C), NT-3 (D), OBC, SBC & SEBC from Maharashtra State is INR 600/-.

Admit Card

After applying for the entrance test, the candidates need to download the admit card from the official website of Maharashtra State CET Cell, released by the concerned authorities, The admit card is an inevitable document without which an applicant is not permitted to appear for the examination. 

The release date for MH CET Law 2020 Admit Cards has been postponed by the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) Pune till the further notification, due to COVID-19 

outbreak. 

Appear for Exam

On the scheduled exam date, the candidates need to appear for the entrance test with their admit card and photo ID proof. 

In an exam duration of 2 hours for the five-year LLB Program, the candidate has to attempt 150 MCQ type questions in either English language or Marathi following the language chosen by them. For each right answer, one mark is awarded and there is no negative marking scheme. 

Results: MHCET Law 2020

The results of Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law (MH CET Law) 2020 will be announced by the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) Pune on the official website of Maharashtra State CET Cell after a few weeks of exam dates. The initial schedule i.e. April 28, 2020, for result announcement of five-year LLB course has now been postponed.

A category-based merit list enlisting the names of participants with MHCET Law 2020 scores will also be published by DHE to be downloadable by the candidates after filling in their roll number and DOB. 

Counselling

The counselling for MHCET Law 2020 will be conducted by DHE, Pune in online mode for five-year LLB courses and three-year LLB programs post declaration of results. An array of formalities that will contribute to the counselling process include registration by qualified applicants, presentation of category-based merit lists, seat allotment and issuance of provisional admission letters. For the final admission, Candidates will have to report at the respective assigned law school.

Q. When can I fill the application form for MH CET Law 2020?

A. The application forms of MH CET Law 2020 for the five-year LLB course were released on January 22 and those for the three-year LLB course were released on March 19. You can fill the application form for the three-year LLB course before the last date of submission i.e. March, 30. 

Q. Does the MHCET Law exam take place in offline mode?

A. No, the mode for MHCET Law exam was changed in 2019 by the CET Cell Maharashtra from offline/pen-paper based test mode to online/computer-based test mode.

Q. Do I need a Bachelor's degree in law stream to take admission in a three-year LLB course?

A. No, a Bachelor's degree in any discipline fulfils the eligibility criteria for 3-year LLB course.

Q. Where will I get my MH CET Law result and mark sheet?

IGNOU 2020 TEE Answer Booklets & Re-evaluation Now Allowed to Applicants

Students participated in Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) June 2020 TEE, and December 2019 TEE exam will now be allowed to apply for the xerox copies of answer booklets. Indira Gandhi National Open University has decided to allow the students for the revaluation and re totalling of marks, they scored in these examinations.

The results of IGNOU June 2020 TEE were announced on October 1. With the upcoming facility of issuance of the photocopy of answer booklets, the students who were dissatisfied with their results can apply for the revaluation of marks scored in the term-end examinations and the photocopies of IGNOU TEE answer sheets. 

The application for the same will have to be made online on the official website of the university. Students simply need to go to the IGNOU website and click apply on the designated link. After which, a few details need to be filled, followed by the payment of the application fee and submission of the application form. 

It must be noted that the applications for revaluation and photocopies of IGNOU December 2019 TEE and IGNOU June 2020 TEE of exams comprising MCQ type questions are disallowed. 

According to the statement in the IGNOU revaluation window,  “Reevaluation and copy of Answerscripts is not available for the Following Exam for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type and conducted on OMR sheets.”

Students can apply for and get the photocopies of the answer booklets of IGNOU June TEE and IGNOU December TEE examinations if the answer copy has not been handled for Re-evaluation. Students can either first make an application for the copy of Answer Sheet, followed by an application for Re-evaluation or go for both simultaneously.

Education expenses of NEET topper Akansha Singh will be paid by Uttar Pradesh Government. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made an announcement about the disbursement of her graduation expenses. These expenses will include the expenditure of food and lodging during all the academic levels of her graduation.

Akansha Singh lives in Kushinagar district of UP and has achieved 100% score in NEET 2020 exam.  

Though Akansha was given second rank in the examination, she has been declared as top-ranked along with Soyeb Aftab who is native of Odisha state. On the direction of CM Yogi Adityanath, a letter is to be sent by the chief secretary of UP state, to the authorities concerned for the declaration of NEET 2020 ranks to declare Akansha Singh and Soyeb Aftab, both as the first rankers of NEET 2020 examination as they both have scored 720 marks out of maximum score of 720. 

Besides, personal wishes are sent from UP CM to the family members and parents of AKansha Singh, laurelled the top- scorer as an ideal for all the girls. CM Yogi Adityanath appreciated the hard -work she has made and the high perseverance she has maintained throughout her preparation. 

On the other side, Shoyeb Aftab has also created a history with a full score of 720/720 and All India Rank of 1. He is the first-ever candidate to score 100% in NEET examination. From Odisha state also, he is the first student to Top NEET. With this high score, he hopes to get admission in AIIMS New Delhi. 

NEET 2020 comprises a sum of 180 MCQ type questions for a maximum of 720 marks. Qualified candidates who have scored at least or more than NEET 2020 cut-off are considered eligible to participate in the counselling process of NEET 2020. This implies that the candidates with scores more than NTA NEET 2020 cut-off will be eligible for enrollment to state-quota seats India quota (AIQ) seats through NEET 2020 counselling. The NEET 2020 cutoff for students who belong to General Category is 147. The highest number of students who have qualified NEET 2020 are from Uttar Pradesh followed by Maharashtra.

Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association, KPPGCA has released the admit card for KMAT 2020 for the eligible candidates who applied for the examination by filling the application form and paying the prescribed application fee. The admit card has been released via online mode on the official website of KPPGCA on 27th October 2020. 

Successful candidates need to download their admit card from the official website i.e. kmatindia.com. using their login credentials.

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2020 is an entrance examination that will be conducted by KPPGCA (Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association) to offer enrollment to the qualified candidates in 189+ AICTE or University accredited Management Schools established in Bangalore and Karnataka. This year, the examination will be conducted on 29th October 2020 for admission to management institutes in the state. 

The exam will take place via online mode, keeping in mind all the precautionary measures amid COVID-19. All the participants must carry along their KMAT Admit Card otherwise the entry to the exam hall is prohibited. Check below the simple steps to download the KMAT 2020 Admit Card.

According to an official statement by Raghu Sharma, Rajasthan Health Minister, approval for the additional seats in MBBS in Rajasthan has been granted. 230 additional seats have been green signalled for the MBBS programmes at four medical schools in the state. 50 additional seats will be given to the medical schools in Udaipur and Ajmer. As far as Barmer Medical College is concerned, there will be an increment of 30 seats this year. 

In comparison to last year when there was a total increment of 550 seats, seats added this year are lower. However, if taken together, the total addition in MBBS seats in the last two years reaches 880 in Rajasthan, thereby making a sum of 2830 total MBBS seats in Rajasthan, today. 

The initiation of Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar has also received approval by the National Medical Science Commission. The Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar will be started in the session 2020-21. 

Sikar is a native district and approval of a medical college in Sikar was great news for Govind Singh Dotasara, Congress State President, who expressed extreme joy through a tweet over the approval.

"The much-awaited Sikar Medical College has received the approval of the National Medical Science Commission. It is a result of the strong will power of the Congress government of the state that the Sikar people have got their right, their medical college," a tweet by Mr Dotasara.

The news highlights the commencement of first round of NEET 2020 Counselling from Tomorrow

The first round of the NEET 2020 Counselling will start from 27th of October 2020 by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The first round of seat allotment under this process will commence from tomorrow. The counselling process will be conducted only for those candidates who have qualified the NEET 2020 exam. Unqualified aspirants will not be able to take part in the same. However, the registration is mandatory for the eligible candidates to participate in the counselling. 

Registration for the first round of seat allotment needs to be done on the official website of MCC - mcc.nic.in. and will remain open till 2nd November 2020 before 5 pm. It must be noted that registration must be done before the deadlines otherwise the participation in the seat allotment process is prohibited. 

NEET 2020 registration process seeks the names of the courses and colleges preferred by the candidates that means the candidates will have to fill in their choices about the college and the course during the registration process. However, the candidates will be allowed to fill in their preference within a specific course of time i.e. from 28th October 2020 to 2nd November 2020, after that the preferences will be frozen. 

Followed by the 2nd round of seat allotment, details about which will be notified very soon, the 1st round will be conducted on 3rd and 4th November and the results of the same will be declared on 5th November 2020. Here is the process to register for the counselling process of NEET 2020:

Step 1: Go to the official website of MCC i.e. mcc.nic.in.

Step 2: Find and click on the ‘UG Medical Counselling’ link available on the homepage.

Step 3: Click on ‘New Registration’.

Step 4: Save your new login ID and password that will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Click on ‘Candidate Login’ and enter your new login credentials.

Step 6: Enter all the details asked.

Step 7: You will get a registration slip after filling all the details.

The registration fee needs to be paid before the deadline and the due date for the payment of the registration fee for NEET 2020 Counselling's first round is 2nd November 2020.
