About VITMEE

The Vellore Institute of Masters Entrance Examination(VITME) is a common entrance examination conducted by VIT University once in a year to scrutinise the students and then offer the admissions to qualified candidates into Master’s programmes in the Vellore and Chennai campus of VIT University.

The VITMEE 2021 will consider 15 subjects for admission to MCA and M.Tech programmes. There will be two sections in the exam paper of VITMEE 2021. One section will cover the technical subjects and the other will cover English communication.

VITMEE 2021 will be conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) to offer admission into various programs like MCA, M.Tech and so on. To appear for the same, the interested and eligible candidates will have to fill the VITMEE 2021 Application Form. VITMEE 2021 application form will be made available online on the official website from March 2021. The admission will be offered based on the candidate's performance in VITMEE 2021 entrance exam.

VITMEE 2021 Eligibility Criteria

M.Tech

  • Candidates with a full-time UG degree in B.E/B.Tech Discipline from a reputed university with at least 50% aggregate marks. 
  • Candidates who are studying in final year/final semester examinations are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must submit their final year mark sheet & provisional degree during the admission. 

MCA

  • Candidates qualified with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam for admission into the MCA program taught by VIT University. 

Candidates must meet multiple eligibility benchmarks to apply for enrollments via VITMEE. The minimum eligibility benchmark for MTech and MCA programme enrollments via this entrance exam are as follows:

  • Must be a graduate with a full-time degree from any recognised University/Institute with at least 60% and 50% in aggregate for admission in MCA and MCA degree programmes, respectively.
  • Candidates appearing in their final degree exam/ final sem. exams in the present year are also eligible to apply for VITMEE 2021, provided their final Semester or final year exam completes before the conduct of selection interview at VIT University.

Note:  Not meeting the eligibility criterion for VITMEE 2021 will lead to the cancellation of admission.

VITMEE 2021: Application Form

Application forms for VITMEE 2021 will be downloadable from the official website- https://vit.ac.in/

and will have to be submitted online. The forms pry into academic records along with personal details and the scanned copies of some important documents which need to be submitted online. Documents which should be uploaded in the application form are as follows:

  • Applicant’s recent & coloured passport size photo in .jpg file format.
  • Applicant’s signature in .jpg file format.
  • Academic records, degree and diploma certificate.
  • Category certificates like Sc / St / OBC NCL in .pdf file format
  • Valid Medical Certificate for PWD in .pdf file format
  • Request letter for compensatory time (during the test) for PWD in .pdf file format
  • Gazette notification, marriage certificate or page of passport in .pdf file format (in case of name change).

Steps to fill the VITMEE 2021 Application Form

  • Step 1 - Registration on the official website of VIT-https://vit.ac.in/
  • Step 2 - Enter all the personal details and academic qualification details 
  • Step 3 - Upload the requisite documents, latest passport size photograph, etc
  • Step 4 - Pay the Application fee
  • Step 5 - Verify the application form and submit it.
  • Step 6 - Download & take print out of the VITMEE Application form and keep it carefully for future reference

VITMEE 2021: Application Fee

Online registration for VITMEE 2021 will start in the month of March, 2021 with the filling of an application form and payment of the application fee i.e. INR 1200 for all the candidates. Third week of May, 2021 will be the deadline to submit the VITMEE 2021 application form. Fee payment will be acceptable only via online mode i.e. through debit card, credit card or net banking.

Candidates who will make payment of the application fee for the MTech entrance exam via DD will need to mention their name, application no., address and mobile no. on the back side of their DD and send it along with the printout of the VITMEE 2021 application form which they have already filled online. 

VITMEE 2021 Admit Card

VITMEE 2021 Admit cards will be issued via online mode and will be downloadable from the official website - www.vit.ac.in.. The admit card will not be delivered to the candidates via fax or post or any other offline medium. Students will need to download the admit card from the official website by entering the details asked. VITMEE 2021 admit card is a mandatory document to carry along with the valid photo while appearing for the exam. No candidates will be permitted to enter the exam hall without the admit card. VITMEE 2021 admit cards will comprise the details about the candidate as well as the exam such as candidate’s name, roll number, exam centres, exam guidelines etc.Candidates must keep their admit card safe till the completion of the admission procedure.

VITMEE 2021: Exam Pattern

VITMEE 2021 examination will be conducted online as a computer based test (CBT). The candidate’s problem solving skills and language proficiency will be evaluated based on objective type questions. SUAT question paper will cover different subjects for different programmes. VITMEE 2021 will comprise 100 and the highest marks will also be100. VITMEE 2021 Merit List

The score secured by the candidate in VITMEE 2021 will be used for calculating their individual percentile. The percentile will be used for preparing the merit list.

Candidates will be invited for the counselling based on the merit list only. The merit list will be available for download on the official website.

VITMEE 2021: Result

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) will notify the results for admission in the MTech programme through online mode on the official website i.e. http://www.vit.ac.in/. All the candidates will need to check the result by filling their login details, viz., application number and DOB. The candidates will be able to access their merit ranks or scorecard. Candidates will get admissions into MTech programmes as per the academic performance in the UG degree course.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to anyone of the VIT campus where Counselling will be held for admission into MCA/M.Tech and Integrated PhD Courses. Candidates will have to pay a non-refundable counselling fee of INR 11,800 via DD which will be drawn in favour of VIT University. Admissions at VIT University are offered through counselling based on the scores secured by the aspirant in VITMEE 2021. However, preference will be given to those who have a better GATE score and are seeking enrollment in MTech programmes at VIT University.

IGNOU 2020 TEE Answer Booklets & Re-evaluation Now Allowed to Applicants

Students participated in Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) June 2020 TEE, and December 2019 TEE exam will now be allowed to apply for the xerox copies of answer booklets. Indira Gandhi National Open University has decided to allow the students for the revaluation and re totalling of marks, they scored in these examinations.

The results of IGNOU June 2020 TEE were announced on October 1. With the upcoming facility of issuance of the photocopy of answer booklets, the students who were dissatisfied with their results can apply for the revaluation of marks scored in the term-end examinations and the photocopies of IGNOU TEE answer sheets. 

The application for the same will have to be made online on the official website of the university. Students simply need to go to the IGNOU website and click apply on the designated link. After which, a few details need to be filled, followed by the payment of the application fee and submission of the application form. 

It must be noted that the applications for revaluation and photocopies of IGNOU December 2019 TEE and IGNOU June 2020 TEE of exams comprising MCQ type questions are disallowed. 

According to the statement in the IGNOU revaluation window,  “Reevaluation and copy of Answerscripts is not available for the Following Exam for Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type and conducted on OMR sheets.”

Students can apply for and get the photocopies of the answer booklets of IGNOU June TEE and IGNOU December TEE examinations if the answer copy has not been handled for Re-evaluation. Students can either first make an application for the copy of Answer Sheet, followed by an application for Re-evaluation or go for both simultaneously.

Education expenses of NEET topper Akansha Singh will be paid by Uttar Pradesh Government. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made an announcement about the disbursement of her graduation expenses. These expenses will include the expenditure of food and lodging during all the academic levels of her graduation.

Akansha Singh lives in Kushinagar district of UP and has achieved 100% score in NEET 2020 exam.  

Though Akansha was given second rank in the examination, she has been declared as top-ranked along with Soyeb Aftab who is native of Odisha state. On the direction of CM Yogi Adityanath, a letter is to be sent by the chief secretary of UP state, to the authorities concerned for the declaration of NEET 2020 ranks to declare Akansha Singh and Soyeb Aftab, both as the first rankers of NEET 2020 examination as they both have scored 720 marks out of maximum score of 720. 

Besides, personal wishes are sent from UP CM to the family members and parents of AKansha Singh, laurelled the top- scorer as an ideal for all the girls. CM Yogi Adityanath appreciated the hard -work she has made and the high perseverance she has maintained throughout her preparation. 

On the other side, Shoyeb Aftab has also created a history with a full score of 720/720 and All India Rank of 1. He is the first-ever candidate to score 100% in NEET examination. From Odisha state also, he is the first student to Top NEET. With this high score, he hopes to get admission in AIIMS New Delhi. 

NEET 2020 comprises a sum of 180 MCQ type questions for a maximum of 720 marks. Qualified candidates who have scored at least or more than NEET 2020 cut-off are considered eligible to participate in the counselling process of NEET 2020. This implies that the candidates with scores more than NTA NEET 2020 cut-off will be eligible for enrollment to state-quota seats India quota (AIQ) seats through NEET 2020 counselling. The NEET 2020 cutoff for students who belong to General Category is 147. The highest number of students who have qualified NEET 2020 are from Uttar Pradesh followed by Maharashtra.

Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association, KPPGCA has released the admit card for KMAT 2020 for the eligible candidates who applied for the examination by filling the application form and paying the prescribed application fee. The admit card has been released via online mode on the official website of KPPGCA on 27th October 2020. 

Successful candidates need to download their admit card from the official website i.e. kmatindia.com. using their login credentials.

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2020 is an entrance examination that will be conducted by KPPGCA (Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association) to offer enrollment to the qualified candidates in 189+ AICTE or University accredited Management Schools established in Bangalore and Karnataka. This year, the examination will be conducted on 29th October 2020 for admission to management institutes in the state.

According to an official statement by Raghu Sharma, Rajasthan Health Minister, approval for the additional seats in MBBS in Rajasthan has been granted. 230 additional seats have been green signalled for the MBBS programmes at four medical schools in the state. 50 additional seats will be given to the medical schools in Udaipur and Ajmer. As far as Barmer Medical College is concerned, there will be an increment of 30 seats this year. 

In comparison to last year when there was a total increment of 550 seats, seats added this year are lower. However, if taken together, the total addition in MBBS seats in the last two years reaches 880 in Rajasthan, thereby making a sum of 2830 total MBBS seats in Rajasthan, today. 

The initiation of Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar has also received approval by the National Medical Science Commission. The Srikalyan Government Medical College, Sikar will be started in the session 2020-21. 

Sikar is a native district and approval of a medical college in Sikar was great news for Govind Singh Dotasara, Congress State President, who expressed extreme joy through a tweet over the approval.

"The much-awaited Sikar Medical College has received the approval of the National Medical Science Commission. It is a result of the strong will power of the Congress government of the state that the Sikar people have got their right, their medical college," a tweet by Mr Dotasara.

The news highlights the commencement of first round of NEET 2020 Counselling from Tomorrow

The first round of the NEET 2020 Counselling will start from 27th of October 2020 by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The first round of seat allotment under this process will commence from tomorrow. The counselling process will be conducted only for those candidates who have qualified the NEET 2020 exam. Unqualified aspirants will not be able to take part in the same. However, the registration is mandatory for the eligible candidates to participate in the counselling. 

Registration for the first round of seat allotment needs to be done on the official website of MCC - mcc.nic.in. and will remain open till 2nd November 2020 before 5 pm. It must be noted that registration must be done before the deadlines otherwise the participation in the seat allotment process is prohibited. 

NEET 2020 registration process seeks the names of the courses and colleges preferred by the candidates that means the candidates will have to fill in their choices about the college and the course during the registration process. However, the candidates will be allowed to fill in their preference within a specific course of time i.e. from 28th October 2020 to 2nd November 2020, after that the preferences will be frozen. 

Followed by the 2nd round of seat allotment, details about which will be notified very soon, the 1st round will be conducted on 3rd and 4th November and the results of the same will be declared on 5th November 2020. Here is the process to register for the counselling process of NEET 2020:

NEET counselling 2020: Online registration process

Step 1: Go to the official website of MCC i.e. mcc.nic.in.

Step 2: Find and click on the ‘UG Medical Counselling’ link available on the homepage.

Step 3: Click on ‘New Registration’.

Step 4: Save your new login ID and password that will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Click on ‘Candidate Login’ and enter your new login credentials.

Step 6: Enter all the details asked.

Step 7: You will get a registration slip after filling all the details. 

Step 8: Make a payment of the registration fee. 

The registration fee needs to be paid before the deadline and the due date for the payment of the registration fee for NEET 2020 Counselling's first round is 2nd November 2020.
