State Education Minister Premsai Singh Tekram on Tuesday announced the results via holding an online conference.
Raipur: Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) declared its class 10 and class 12 board examination results on Tuesday 23 June. The students who appeared for High School, Higher Secondary and Higher Secondary Vocational Main Exams can now check their results on the official website of the board cgbse.nic.in.
73.62% students cleared class 10, while 70.59% succeeded in class 12 board examinations this year.
The Education Minister of the state Premsai Singh Tekram holded a virtual conference and made the results public.
In CG Board class 12 examinations, girls outshined boys by 6 percent, while in the class 10 exams results girls pass percentage exceeded that of boys by more than 8 percent.
Pragya Kashyap from Mungeli district has become Chhattisgarh class 10 topper with 100 percent marks. Tikesh Vaishnav has topped class 12 board exam with 97.80 percent marks.
A total of 6.29 lakh students appeared in both class 10 and class 12 exams this year, out of which around 3.84 lakh students appeared for class 10 exams, while the remaining 2.66 lakh students sat for class 12 exams
Amid nationwide lockdown, the board, in March, cancelled the pending exams and the assessment of those subjects is done on the basis of internal assessment provided by the schools administration.
This year the CG board results have beaten the results of previous year by an estimate of over 7 percent.
With the results declared in the state, the students can now fill the applications for higher studies in various colleges and universities across India.
