Panaji: Goa board of secondary and higher secondary education has rolled up its sleeves and is all set to declare the class XII examination results this week.
“The exact date of the High School Secondary Certificate (HSSC) examination results will be declared on Monday or Tuesday,” said officially Ramakrishna Samant. The results would be declared this week as the evaluation process is over, he added.
The examinations were held in the month of March, but subsequent coronavirus outbreak and lockdown imposed as a measure delayed the result declaration by a few months.
But now, that the evaluation process is over, he expressed content, that the results now will be declared.
He appreciated the hard work of the evaluators and board for working efficiently during the Covid-19 and this collective effort of them and the board together enabled them to accomplish the herculean task.
Meanwhile Goa’s Chief Minister Pramod Sawant showed his worry, (in view of rising toll of coronavirus patients across the state), for students of class X and class XII who would be appearing in the examinations next year.
While in an event of ‘Goa Revolution Day’, after paying tribute to martyrs, Sawant said to reporters, “Some schools are already holding online classes in the state.” “But I am more concerned about the students who will be appearing in HSSC examinations next year in March month, for academic year 2020-21,” he added.
