New Delhi: It seems that Lockdown is not after all that bad, as experts from all walks of life have started adapting technology as a medium to create their own web platforms. Wine Connoisseurs, school teachers, Yoga teachers, Digital Marketers, Programmers, Business Analytics--Experts from various domains are looking to build startups and create paid video content.
Software as a Service startup Knorish, launched in 2018, has built e-learning businesses for 4500 creators in the last four months.
"These creators upload recorded videos or take live sessions on their personalized websites that we build for them," CEO of Knorish.
The Company has built websites for Yoga Instructors, Gym Trainers, Primary Teachers, Nutritionists and Tutors.
Founded in 2017, Invato has onboarded 50,000 such professionals, from the 10000 in February.
These platforms, train them on how to grow business as an extra perk apart from building a website. These platforms equip creators with customization option, course development tools, community forums and sales tracking options.
"Indians were not ready to experiment with this model till now, but after COVID-19 outbreak, things changed drastically. E-learning is trending now," he added.
Content creators can earn handsomely between Rs 10000 to 40 Lakh a month after building these platforms. About 20% of the creators have scaled their business to 40-70 Lakh in a month. The difference in earnings depends on selling capabilities, quality of the course and reach to the number of audiences.
With their potential explored, creators are happy to accept technology as a household.
