The National Testing Agency (New Delhi) has released the official notification announcing the Exam Dates of entrance test for IIMC(Indian Institute of Mass Communication) 2020. Also, the registration dates for the exam have been revised to September 23, 2020.
New Delhi: National-level Exam Conducting Body-The National Testing Agency has released the exam dates of IIMC 2020. According to the notification, the IIMC 2020 exam will be conducted on October 18, 2020. Also, the registration window(previously closed) has been opened till September 23, 2020. Candidates who have not applied for the exam can register themselves for the exam at iimc.ssinfotechonline.com.
This year IIMC 2020 will be conducted in remote-proctored mode. Candidates can give this test from home but must have a computer/laptop and a good internet connection.
About IIMC Entrance Exam:
IIMC is a national-level test conducted by Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi for admission to PG Diploma courses in Journalism, PR, Advertising and Radio and TV Journalism offered at 6 campuses across India-New Delhi, Dhenkanal, Amravati, Aizawl, Jammu and Kottayam.
Eligibility:
Only Candidates with a bachelor’s degree can apply for the test. The bachelor’s degree can be in any field. Candidates in the final year can also apply.
Age Limit:
Candidates age limit should be as the following:-
- General Category: Aspirants born on August 1, 1995, or later are eligible to apply.
- SC/ST/Physically Handicapped Category: Aspirants born on August 1, 1990, or later are eligible to apply.
- OBC Category: Aspirants born on August 1, 1992, or later are eligible to apply.
Fee:
After the application has been filed online, the candidates are required to pay the examination fee as such:
- General Category = Rs 1500/-
- SC/ST/OBC/PWD = Rs 1000/-
Admission Process:
For Indian citizens, The admission process starts with the IIMC entrance test, followed by the declaration of the results. Candidates who qualify the test are called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. However, 5% of seats are reserved for NRI candidates who need not appear for the IIMC test, but they have to clear Group Discussion and Personal Interview to claim a seat in PG Diploma Programmes.
